Painful outburt

1128 Words
Vanessa woke in the morning feeling groggy, with a bad headache coming on from the hangover. From yesterday, she should have had too much wine, reaching over to see her phone ding with so many messages from her aunt and Marie who were worried sick. "f**k" she uttered as she remembered her last night doing, she couldn't believe she slept with him, gosh what was she thinking, to her relief he was not in the room, she was covered up in a comfy duvet, she immediately got up from the bed, picking up her clothes as she planned her escape She left where she thought to be the master bedroom, to look for an exit, but to her dismay, they were so many doors she couldn't find the right one, "Jesus Christ, this place was the size of a palace." She utters taking careful steps around the place After her seventh attempt on another damn huge wooden door, she was met face to face with the man she had been avoiding to see all morning, the mafia in his study stared straight at her, his eyes, in turn, brightened with a glint of fondness as he set his eyes on her. Fuck, f**k why him why now she thought, He then immediately got off the call he was on, coming around in large strides as he met her halfway. "What are you doing up Nessa," he said still in his morning glow, giving him a calming aura that made her melt a bit, his robe that looked like it cost a fortune, showed off his chest as she was met with Hickey's made on his chest by her. Focus Vanessa focus "I need to leave," Vanessa said abruptly "We need to talk about last night" "It was nothing" "It can't be nothing Vanessa, we slept together last night" "It's just s*x, we f****d, get over it." Vanessa said trying to act calm, "I did what you wanted so we can call it even now, you've gotten what you want," she said, her wall crumbled a bit after seeing his face fall from her words, but she held her resolve, "that meant nothing to me, I'm leaving." She said turning around to hastily make her exit but was grabbed back by the Fuming Mafia who did not look amused one bit. "The hell did you just say?'' he mafia said, his gaze became alarming to Vanessa, backing her against the wall, his hand suddenly on her neck, but not in a suffocating way." I told you I don't back out once I'm in" he whispers to her, "And I told you I want nothing to do with you, you disgust me!" Vanessa screamed, her eyes already wet from tears, she didn't know why she felt so bad telling him this, but she had already said those words. She felt his hold loosen from her neck as she uttered those words, he looked so torn but back away from her, "I'm sorry Nessa, If that's how you perceive me, I won't bother you anymore you can leave, and don't worry I won't come after your family or anything, I'm not that type of man," he said "Tristan" the mafia called, a guard immediately walking in, she felt so uneasy knowing the man had heard everything "Take miss West home." "Marcel I-" "-Goodbye miss West" his word utterly stopped her in her tracks as she had no other choice but to leave Her mind was screaming at her for calling him that word and being so rude. She couldn't even look up her head hanging low until she reached the black matte car which Tristan opened for her, ducking her heading before they back out of the large courtyard She had a feeling someone was watching her, her instincts making her look up to meet eyes with Marcel, as she watched her from his study before closing the binders. With the last look, Vanessa couldn't help but feel empty as she left the mafias house “ Don't fuss, Vanessa, you wanted this” she said to herself, trying to make herself feel better at least now her life would go back to normal as possible, she hoped. She couldn't help but leak tears as she made their way down the streets of Venice, already far away from Marcel, "Miss west we are here" Marcel the guard announced "Thank you" Vanessa mumbled making her way out of the car, opening the door to Marie helping her aunt with cooking as aunty patty stepped out to buy something from the market, she was thankful she wasn't here since she was still crying, Marie immediately looked at her expression and ran to her to hug her. "Are you alright vee?" she said petting her head in a soft tone, "No, I'm not, I said so many mean things to him, Marie, what the hell is wrong with me?" "Sit down and tell me what happened" An hour later after spilling out her thoughts, they laid down cuddled in Vanessa's room "Vee, this may seem out of place, but it sounds like you have feelings for this man, and I know I told you that he was a Mafia, and at that the boss, but he is a good man, he is not like his father he protects this town, so if that's what holding you back, don't, I know you feel something ." "No, I don't Marie, what makes you say that" "Vee all points to what you've told me, I know your feelings for that man," " look no matter how bad I felt for saying all those things to him, I'm happy I'm free," she said But she looked like she was just repeating those words to make herself feel better "I am ok Marie," I think. She left Marie on the bed, not baring to look at the pitiful stare her friend gave her like she knew something she didn't, but all she knew was that she was right, that he's not in her life anymore, right? Now that she was not in his home or near Marcel she could think more clearly, Marie may not see it, but she did, she looked at the full constellation of stars from above, and the busy street below, God Venice was really beautiful at night, She looked to the streets, seeing a couple, with a woman holding a bouquet of tiger lilies making her think back to when they first met. Stop Vanessa she scolded herself. Your parents won't be happy about this.? Talking to herself, her hand instinctively went to the necklace on her neck, the last thing they gave her on her 7th birthday. This was for the best. Right?
