Body swap : Our last Requiem

Fight with the beasts

David and Lily both went into the woods with sword in hand they were marching towards the beasts who are waiting for them . When they went in deeper they noticed that some men were surrounded by some wild beasts they were around in more than fifteen .

Lily spotted her grandpa among them . They were trying to chase them away but they were the ones who were backed into a corner . '' Someone please help '' among them cries out . '' Grandpa ''' Lily was about to shout David covered her mouth before she could say anything .

''Shhh don't say a word or else we won't be abe to save them i will lure those beasts away you go save all the people who are caught there ''' David says . '' But how can you win against those ferocious and devilish looking beasts ? '' LIly asks removing his hand from her mouth .

'' I will make it work somehow or else they will be hurt by them ''' he says assuring her '' you don't need to worry about me '' . ''' I will also help you chase those monsters away too it's too dangerous for you to go alone you can't even fight properly '' Lily remarks .

''' Don't become a coward Lily , these people have given me so many things this time i need to repay them the same way how can i get cold feet now ? '' asserts David . ''' But .. if something happens to you what will happen to mrs.Mary ? won't sshe be worried for you ? '' she asks .

''' Mom ... will understand why i did this and don't worry i won't die before winning the competition '' he says smiling . ''' You take them away somewhere safe , i will do something about those beasts .Now let's go '' .

'' Alright but promise me that you will be safe ''' she says grabbing his hand . ''' I will '' he replies . ''' Old man , get away from there we are here to help ''' David says rushing in there . THe beasts were ferocious looking with huge body and red eyes and teeths which can tear a human wide apart .

David was facing them with all courage . '' Grandpa ', come with me '' Lily tells coming in . ''' Face me if you want '' David states to the packs of beasts with his sword in hand . ''' What are you doing young man ? you can't win against them at this rate '' old man pleads .

'' You all go away , i will do something ''' states David . '' Come at me '' right at the moment the attention of the beasts directed towards him and was approaching them with a snarling and growling noise .

Taking advantage of the situation Lily hid them away somewhere distant enough from them . '' Come with me '' she says to the group of people there . '' What is the young boy gonna do ? we aren' t able to do anything to it and we are much more skilled '' remarks her grandpa .

''This is just suicidal facing those packs of beasts all alone '' remarks another old man . '' David , if he puts his mind to it he can do anything i believe in him '' Lily replies . '' Don't be foolish tell him to come back right away , he's sick right ?> how can he face off those huge beasts all alone ? '' inquires her grandpa .

''We need to have some faith in him i believe he will do something he must have a trick upon his sleeve , otherwise he wouldn't suggest that he would go alone ''' asserts Lily . '' I agree with her '' remarks another man . Eventually all agree with her only except her grandpa .

''But promise we will help him if he requires any help '' old man asserts . '' Yes , we will help him if he needs any help '' says Lily . '' Alright then '' says her grandpa . '' Let's go after him '' says another man . '' We will see what he's doing '' says Lily .

David took the beasts away from the village they were chasing him at full speed . One of them grabbed onto his leg . David cried out in pain then chased him away with the sword . '' I was gonna bleed thank god '' he said while panting . '' How much will i run at this rate they aren't leaving my side '' he complained .

''It seems they won't go so easily , i need to fight them , so he stops running '' . He looks at them eye to eye five of them jumps at him . David defends himself with that sword of his . '' This seems much more hard than the old man's trainning '' he remarks right at the moment another one jumps at him .

'' Go away '' he swings his sword . Right at the moment appears Lily and her grandpa along with the other men at the spot . 'David somehow manages to keep himself safe against the beasts . Many of them come flying at him .

It was at that time another one comes jumping at him from behind and Lily shouts his name . Then the attention of the beasts was adverted from him to her and one was about to attack her . '' Lily '' David calls her name and heads towards her with his sword .

Somehow unknowingly he slays down the beast in two . Bloods spattering around everywhere also in his clothes . '' David '' Lily calls his name '' are you alright ? ''' . David wasn't conscious , he wasn't able to hear her .

One by one he cut down all the beasts slicing through them as if his sword was just a knife and it was cutting down the pack of beasts like piece of meat . In five minutes all the beasts were dead and lifeless . . Lily and her grandpa along with the other men were shocked to see the sight before their eyes .

'' How did the young man do this ? was he so much skilled in using sword ? '' asks another man . '' How did he do this ? he wasn't able to hold the sword properly in the day , how did he learn so easily '' grandpa remarks . '' He was resting in bed all day then how did he ? David just what are you ? how much potential do you have ? '' Lily thoughts to herself .

David came back to his consciousness after a while . '' Where am i ? '' he asks . Others approach him , surrounding him . ''' What are you folks doing here ? and where am i ? what am i doing in this forest ? '' David asks . '' They all start laughing hearing his words .

'' Didn't you realise what you were doing right now ? '' asks Lily . ''No , i think that i came here to look for old man and then the beast was about to attack you then .... i don;'t remember anything ''' he replies . '' Now what kind of an ability is that ? '' asks old man .

'' You saved me from the beasts and killed all of them '' Lily explains . '' What ? i killed the beasts ? '' David looks at his surroundings , the beasts were lying scattered around him all dead and blood soaking the ground . David felt nauseating as if he wanted to vomit everything the sight of the dead bodies were making him feels sick .

'' I need to get home .... , i can't stand the sight .... '' David remarks . '' Lily take him home and change his clothes we will take care of the dead bodies '' says her grandpa . '' Alright then ... let's go home David ''' she says holding his hand.

They left right away after that .

''BUT how did that boy kill all of those monsters i am still amazed '' remarks one old man . ''' He is quite skilled it seems , were you the one who was trainning him ? '' asks another one . ''' Yes , he's my student . I didn't know he progressed so much in one day , just who is he ? '' the old man remarks .

'' Because he was here we are unharmed today , i am very much great ful to him '' remarks another man . '' He's gonna take part in the hunters quest tomorrow '' asserts the old man . ''' The way we saw him today , no one can stop him from winning ;''' remarks another man .

''I think so too ''' the old man remarks . Lily's grandpa picks up the sword from the ground . ''' This was the sword he couldn't wield properly before how did he fight with this now , and just like a warrior ? is that possible for a human being to do so ? ''' he thoughts to himself .

'' I think we should go now '' remarks another man . '' There is still one question left '' comments the old man . '' What ? '' asks another . '' How did those beasts come here ? we have never so many of them at the same time ? '' old man replies . '' That's a grave mystery , how did al of them came at the same time ? '' .

'' I think there is someone is behind this '' remarks the old man . '' I think we should report this to the king or else many will come to destroy our farms '' says another one . '' I think we should report it tomorrow in the morning it's ;late now get back home in the morning we will sort out the wild animals ' says the old woman .

'' This is a good decision '' another one says . They all head out in their own ways leaving for their homes . The mystery remains unsolved .

When Lily and David reached home , David was vomitting a lot . Lily was taking care of him . Then she took him to bed and helped him to change clothes and lied him down to take some rest . She didn't force him to eat anything and was sitting by his side ,.

'' Oh David you came to save me just like that day when we were little , you are still cool just like back then never changing . thank you is never enough to compliment you '' Lily thoughts . '' You still try to save the life of others even if your life is in danger , if you continue to save me i will fall for you over and over again for many times . AND end up confessing to you '' .

'' Please tell me , why do i love you so much ? why are you so brave ? why are you much more skilled in combat than me and never show it . How can you do this ? '' . '' The question remains unanswered , the feelings i have in my heart for you grow deeper and deeper day by day tell me what i should do ? '' .

When she was lost in his thoughts comes her grandpa .

''' Is he sleeping ? '' he asks breaking the silence . '' Yes , he seems to be really weak now '' she replies . ;''' It's amazing that even after fighting off those monsters he can still sleep peacefully if it was me then i wouldn't be able to sleep peacefully '' he remarks .

'' THere are some things that only he can do he never fails to surprise us , that's what David is '' she remarks laughing a little . '' You love him right ? ''' he asks finally . Lily stays silent . '' You noticed ? '' asks she . '' Yes , for a while now who do you think i am ? i am your grandpa after all '' he replies .

''Grandpa ''' she calls . ''' As clueless as he is he' won't be able to know what you feel untill you tell him from your mouth with your own words ''' he says patting her head . '' I know .... that's why i am gonna throw my feelings at him at the arena and then he will be forced to tell what he really feels about me '' she replies .

'' NO matter what his reply is i won't stil give up , i am just as stubborn as he is '' she remarks . '' Now that's like my granddaughter i know you can dop it ''' he remarks .

'' Anyway go to sleep now it's late '' he says .

'' Did youb find anything about the beasts ? i mean how did they come in ? ''' she asks with a worried face . ''' No we don't know , in the morning we will report this to the king maybee he can do something about it '' replies the old man .

'' From my assumption i think they were instructed by someone to come here '' remarks she . '' Is that posible ? ''' he asks .

''Yes obviously , otherwise they aren't that kind of species to attack in large number '' she replies .

'' Dunno anyway you go back to sleep now you need some rest '' remarks her grandpa . '' You too , goodnight ''she says . ''' Don't worry about him he will be safe '' he says . '' I know '' she say then leaves the room .
