Without wasting time, Vic and I jerked away from each other, sitting upright in bed. Something about the way Anthony was staring at me did not sit right with me. I thought that was bad enough until he moved his gaze to Vic. I followed his eyes movement and they stopped on Vic's hard crotch.
I swallowed and tried to break the uncomfortable silence, "A..Anth..."
I couldn't finish my sentence because the next thing I knew, he was coming for Vic.
Vic was faster, standing up to his feet. "Anthony I swaer, it's not what you think." Vic tried to be convincing.
He was not ready for the huge blow to the nose Anthony gave to him.
It caused him to tilt his face amd hold his nose, while I stood sharply on the bed. I was just about to witness two men fight over me and I was certainly not prepared for it.
Anthony would have thrown a second punch if Vic hadn't stopped it with his grip.
"What the f**k is your problem?" His eyes had gone a bloodshot red.
"What the hell are you ramming about?" Vic was defensive but he wasn't the slightest form as pissed as Anthony.
"You took advantage of our visitor?!"
If by visitor he meant hostage then he was indeed correct.
I furrowed my eyebrows at Anthony and his sudden reaction. I had not seen any man be that defensive over me.
"What the f**k? Why would you jump into such a random conclusion? She made the first move, I responded accordingly." At this point, Vic wasn't raising his voice anymore. He was just staring at me as if he had only just realized the magnitude of what he had done.
That got Anthony quiet and for once, he focused on me in the room. He didn't look like he believed Vic and I admitted to myself that was creepy. What made Vic so not trustworthy.
Anthony helped me down from the bed, placed his hands on my shoulders and eyed me from head to toe, worry in his eyes, "are you okay?"
I nodded fast in response. I cleared my throat and after finding my words once more, I proceeded to talk. "Vic's right, whatever happened between us was as a result of my moves." I said.
"That's still doesn't make it right." He snapped at Vic. "You knew well you could have..." he stopped talking and shook his head, "this is all my fault." He groaned. "Come on," he yanked me wrist, pulling me forward. "We will get you some change of clothes, we are leaving."
I widened my eyes, lost by what was going on.
"Where are you taking her?" Vic frowned, following behind us, not bothering about his clothes. I had managed to take the bed sheet with me since I didn't want to be roaming around naked.
"Back where she belongs! She can't stay here, she shouldn't have been here in the first place." Anthony scoffed. In my head, his message rang as good news.
We were in the living room by now and our presence brought Jay and Five to focus on us.
"What?! You know you can't let her leave the house." Vic argued.
"Jay, gown for Clara, now. Anthony said instead, completely ignoring what Vic had to say.
"Anthony have you gone mad?" Vic raised his voice, yet he maintained the calmness in his tone and I could only wonder how that was possible.
"You didn't think it was dangerous when you took her out with you this morning." Anthony scoffed. "Stay here." He said to me, walking to the table to get his car keys, one of them.
"Man, you're making a damn mistake, come back to your f*****g sense. This s**t is not as deep as you're making it!" Vic clenched his fists by his sides. I watched both men in awe, it felt like a movie and I was the lost background character.
"Five, you won't interfere and talk some sense in his head? It's dangerous to send her off!" Vic asked but Five only shrugged where he was seated, continuing what he had been doing on his phone.
"I brought her here, I get to decide!" Anthony snapped.
Jay returned with a simple black gown and I could tell that it would fit perfectly even without trying.
"Put it on."Anthojy ordered me
I reluctantly did as told. I cared less why they were so mad but I was finally getting out of here and that was all that really mattered to me.
"Anthony!" Vic raised his voice, seeing as no one was particularly responding to him or what he had to say.
I watched as he took his leave from the room, storming up the stairs angrily.
I felt bad that I was the reason for their dispute but come to think it, they seemed to have deeper problems and I had just caved a way out of this trap.
When I was fully in the outfit Anthony had asked me to wear, with a frown on his face, he held my hand in his and headed towards the door.
He had opened it and was ready to leave when Vic yelled from behind us, causing me to flinch. "Don't f*****g move."
I turned to look over my shoulder and widened my eyes when I saa him holding a gun. With a loud shriek, I hid behind Anthony and trembled with fear. That was a turn of events.
I heard him c**k the gun and say, "one more step and I swear, I will blow your head off."
