"So you will remain standing where you are." Vic frowned, his target being Anthony.
"What is going on?!" Jay cut in, stepping forward.
This was the only thing that could bring Five to pay attention. He put his phone town and stored at Vic like he was a mad man.
I didn’t think they were shocked to see that he had a damn gun. I was terrified and could die on that spot if someone didn't intervene in the next second.
"Let her go." He snapped at Anthony.
Anthony held my hand tight, keeping me behind him. His grip was so firm, it was starting to hurt my wrist. "I’m leaving with her and there is nothing you can do."
I thought Anthony was crazy. This man was literally holding a gun, loaded for that matter.
"Damn, I said let her go!" Vic yelled, shooting at the ceiling.
I had heard gun shots in movies but I never knew they would be so loud.
I shrieked and pulled free from Anthony, blocking my ears from the after effect and a loud frequency sound that seemed to accompany the shoot, causing me to wince in discomfort.
"I think it would be sensible if I went with Vic, please!" I began to sob.
I was too young to die. More than ever, for the first time in my life, I wished I had listened to Alex and would have stayed back home that night.
Trying to walk forward was impossible. I wanted to but the sight of the gun and my mental state was going down the drain.
Vic came forward and took my hand, pulling me to his side.
Anthony looked like he wanted to take me from Vic's grip but there was nothing to do. When Vic was sure I was secured in his hands, still pointing his gun in Anthony's direction as we walked up the steps.
When he was certain there was no attempts to interfere, he turned around, my trembling self trailing behind him.
We were almost up the steps when another shot was fired behind us. This time it was at Vic's shoulder. His gun left his hand as he groaned to hold the affected arm in place.
Jay rushed up the steps to pick the fallen gun and I turned to see Anthony holding a replica of Vic's gun.
By now, I was out of breath, barely conscious about the happenings around me. I just knew I was standing there, seeing the blood soak Vic's clothes was perturbing to say the least, but nothing was torturous than the second gunshot.
Jay led me to Anthony and he took me from there, out of the house.

"I'm so sorry you had to see any of that." Anthony spoke for the first time when we got to the car. He had been driving for ten minutes by now. I remained seated in the passenger seat without uttering a word. He had his gun in the car and that was enough for me not to want to know where we were headed in the first place.
"I'm taking you to Alex." He shrugged his shoulders as if we did not just experience a whole dramatic shoot out. "What's the address?"
"I.. I will find my way home. Just drop me off at the nearest bus stop with some change." I said in a low voice. There was no way I was letting a maniac who couldn't solve his problems with words, but guns, know the way to my house.
"Understandable." He simply put. "I won't let any harm come to you." He assured me.
"Just drop me off Anthony. I don't care if my life is in any danger, please, I don't want to go back to that house with you guys." I swallowed.
He didn't respond, only speeding up. I wondered why he took it to heart my intimacy with Vic. There was no valid reason for him to allow everything they had worked for to go down the drain all because he was angered.
I was grateful that I would be home with Alex again. I wanted one of his long and calm hugs.
I noticed that Anthony kept looking in the side mirror. I furrowed my eyebrows and looked over my shoulder to see what it was that had caught his attention. It was a black SUV.
"What's wrong?" I frowned.
"Someone's following us." He warned.
"What?!" I gasped in evident confusion.
There was no time to answer my question. He swerved off the road and right on cue, there were shooting sounds filling the air. They were aiming at our car. That would have worried me if Anthony had not swerved down a hill.
I was screaming for my life. "We are going to crash!" I stated the obvious to him.
