8: Blood

“There is really nothing to know about me.” I began and it was the truth. How was I supposed to tell him that I was a s*x worker? I would normally not care but for some weird reason, I did not want Anthony to judge me. “Let us go to bed then.” He shrugged, getting to his feet. My eyes followed this movement. There was so much to know about this strange man. I was yet to accept that this was reality. How did anyone just suggest going to bed when they thought there was no solution to what they were looking for. “Okay… I reluctantly accepted, standing up after him. Anthony led me to a different bedroom with a strange familiar scent I couldn't seem to remember. Sitting by the edge of the bed while he stood by the door got me to realize I was actually tired. Who would have known that after I had taken coffee this morning, I would be spending the night at a rich man’s mansion. “I will talk to you tomorrow.” He scratched the back of his head and turned around to leave. I lay on my back, thinking about his words. What did he mean when he said I would be in troule if he let me go? … I woke up to moaning sounds by my door. I flinched awake, furrowing my eyebrows, disregarding the discomfort it brought to my heavy eyes. The room was pitch black but there was someone in here. I wanted to yell for help but I had no idea who it could be and so I decided to listen. Whoever they were, they were too distracted by their intimacy to pay any attention to me but I could see their shadow movements. “Fuck.” The unidentified female voice cried as he dug his face between her breasts and sucked through his groans. “Scream for me baby.” Jay commanded and I wish he wouldn't have because that woman made my ears bleed. A sense of relief washed over me after I realized that the woman was not with Anthony. They seemed to be unaware of my presence and I knew for sure that this was way past midnight. Deciding not to ruin what it was that they were having, I gently resumed my sleeping position, hoping they would hurry and finish. This house needed so many rules, like what rooms should be used for s****l activities and I would talk about it to them, I promised myself. * The next morning felt rushed because I woke up when it was eleven. I hoped that Alex had fed Bowie and that he was doing okay. He spent too much of his life worrying about me. My mind wavered to when the last time we had an argument and how he had said he was working on finding a new apartment anyways, to live by himself. Even though he had said he only said those words because he was angry, I knew it was a lie. My troubles were too much for him to handle. We weren't always roommates. I moved in with him when my parents sent me out for their health sake. I always returned home late from school, clubbing and going with those stupid high school jerks. My mom couldn't take my problems anymore and the last card was when I said I didn't want a real job, and wanted to be a full time s*x worker. With a sigh, I stood to my feet, heading out of the room. The door came open at the exact time I reached for it. It was Vic. I was relieved to know he was the one, I really didn't want to have to deal with seeing Jay after last night's awkward behaviour. "Good morning." I nodded at him, putting my hair into a ponytail. I wasn't exactly one to care about my looks so I cared less that I had just woken up and had swollen eye bags and crusty lips. "I brought you these, have your bathe, we are going out now." He said, handing the bag in his hands over to me. "Wait, what?" I furrowed my eyebrows at it. "Where are we going?" "The studio. I have a meeting with my manager today." He said, stuffing his hands into his pockets. "Still explains nothing. Why should I go with you?" I raised an eyebrow. "No one's home. The boys are out, we can't leave you here by yourself." He shrugged his shoulders. "You slept in late and my meeting starts by twelve, so please don't take too long." "What studio? Why are we going to a studio?" I wondered. He chuckled a little, "you are not a fan of rap music, are you?" "No?" I shook my head, progressing into the bedroom. "That's probably why." He smirked at me. "Huh?" I wondered, getting out of my clothes. He widened his eyes and turned his back to me. "At least you must have heard of 'Baby, who?', it was blasting out of every radio, club, bar, name it." He shrugged again. I widened my eyes in realization, "no way, you are a singer?" "Well, a rapper, ten million followers on social media but you know, no big deal." He chuckled. "What the f**k? Oh my gosh, what about Five and Jay, those guys some celebrities too?" I had just met two famous people and I hadn't even realized it. "Nah, Five's Anthony's brother, you won't hear much from him, barely speaks. Jay on the other hand, he's a model but he keeps it low key. That bastard is top ten most paid models in the world right now." He told me. By now, I had wrapped a towel around my waist and was heading for the bathroom. "Damn, what more do you people have in stock for me, jeez." "Just hurry up." He smiled. * We got into Vic's G-wagon after he packed breakfast I could eat in the car, I knew we were going to get to wherever we were headed late. He had given me a red sweatshirt and leggings and I had a feeling they belonged to someone, one of them must have slept with. He was in a pair of white shorts and his tropical shirt gave me beach vibes. A silver chain on his neck that looked like it could buy my existence sat round his neck. Once we hit the road, I couldn't resist the urge to ask him. "So, tell me, how did things go with you and Jenny yesterday?" My voice was low in anticipation of whatever his reaction woukd be. I noticed his exiression sadden but he nodded a little, "well, there were unexpected things. Jenny isn't that type of woman to me, she's just a random girl I happened to pass time with in my drunken state, and maybe I did like her for a while but that woman is a snake. She was in love with another ni-" he cleared his throat and licked his lower lip, "man, another man. She was in love with another man the whole time." "My God, I'm so sorry." I said the only thing that came to mind. "It's fine." "What are you going to do with the baby?" I wondered. "I didn't want to be another rapper with a baby mama. My whole life has been centered around a wife, a good family and a happy home, man, I really don't know." He sighed. I nodded in understanding, not wanting to push things further. We spent the rest of the journey in complete silence. * I got out of the car after he had parked and was waiting for him to lead the way when he suddenly widened his eyes, "shit." "What?" I frowned because he had been staring at me. "Um, you're stained..." "What?" I asked again, this time confused. "Blood."
