I stood still in confusion, wondering what Vic was referring to. It was after a few seconds it hit me.
"My period?" I wondered.
"Oh, shit." He was panicking too much for his own good. He opened the back door and leaned in to grab a jacket.
He pulled me closer to him so my back was against him and proceeded to wrap the jacket around my waist. I held my breathe in that short time, wondering what he was going to do to me.
"I'm so sorry." He pulled away after securing the jacket in place, "I had no idea, else, I'd have found a way to stay home and let you get ready. You must be so embarrassed." He couldn't maintain eye contact with me.
"For one, you look like the embarrassed one." I teased, pulling the sleeves of the black jacket he had used on me, making it tighter. "I lost track of my date. It's fine." I shrugged, "just get me some pain killers and a tampon and I'll be fine. It's just blood, calm your horses." I chuckled. I thought it was cute how he had reacted.
He stayed silent for a few seconds, staring blankly at me. "I.. I don't know, I'll have someone get these things for you."
He held my hand, and led me back to the car, "sit here for a while." He said after securing me onto the passenger seat. He got his phone out of his pocket and dialed a phone number before putting his phone up to his ear.
"Mandy? Uh, this might seem like a little odd request, but can I get some tampons from you and period cramps painkillers?" He scratched the back of his neck as he spoke.
"No, no, not for Jenny..." he frowned.
Mentioning Jenny got to me. If his colleagues knew about her, maybe what they had was deeper than he was telling me. It didn't matter to me, I just saw no reason why he would want to lie to me about their relationship.
"I'm waiting outside, thank you so much." He concluded and turned to me, "Don't worry, she will be here soon."
"Why are you so nervous?" I teased him, grinning from ear to ear, "have you never seen a girl on her period? I'm just bleeding, not dying." I rolled my eyes. I had my cramps at its worse but it usually only lasted the first day. I wasn't one that kept a record on my period because I was usually either at home, or had an access to painkillers, and tampons.
"I, my sister, she used to have extreme period pains, I think it's endometriosis or something but it was so bad, and I never felt it physically but I don't think anyone deserves to go through that. Look, just to be safe, I'll call a family doctor, he will be waiting for us at the house..."
"Vic!" That was the last straw for me. I burst into laughter. This man had to be a clown.
"I'm sorry." He swallowed, but I could tell he was serious.
"Victor." A feminine voice came from behind us. She had one of those super model bodies and her afro was packed in two puffs that complimented her round face. She looked at me suspiciously before handing the items to him. "You are late." She shook her head at him.
"I'm sorry, okay? I had to do a few things but I'm here now." He said, pasing the small bag she had brought to me. I wondered if she had a whole shop in there to have brought the items out that fast.
"Do you want to wait in the car or..." Vic asked me, pointing to the building. It was an N shaped building and it looked too expensive for me with the grey and blue shades everywhere.
"I'm fine in here." I shook my head.
He squinted his eyes at me and I knew he was thinking about me using the tampon in the car. He didn't say anything for a second and sighed a bit later, "please don't leave, please. I'm hoping I can trust you on this one?" He had so much doubt in his voice.
I really had no idea where we were, and I absolutely had no where to turn to so I smiled in response and nodded in agreement.
He returned the gesture and turned to leave with Mandy. I knew they were talking about me with the way she kept looking over her shoulder but I chose to ignore it.

When Vic and I got back home- well, returned to their mansion, the other boys were waiting in the living room. The first person I noticed was Anthony and they must have been quiet the whole time, or had chosen to cut their discussion off at our presence.
Five only stared for a few seconds before returning his focus to his phone. Vic was right about him, he barely said a word.
Anthony didn't look away from me but he didn't utter a word.
Jay was the only one that seemed excited to see me and he waved with a loud call for my name.
I couldn't keep my eyes off Anthony. What was up with this strange man?
I decided it would be best to go back to the bedroom because the way he stared at me made me incredibly uncomfortable.
I had one leg up the step when he called for me, "Clara?"
"Hmm?" I slowly turned my head around. Why was I afraid of him?
"Come with me." He said.
I didn’t think there was anything wrong with it until Vic held my shoulder to stop me from moving.
"Why? Where are you taking her?" He didn't seem to like the idea of it and that got me scared.
"Clara, come with me." Anthony repeated, paying no attention to Vic. "Now." He frowned.
I looked between both men, what was I supposed to do?
