Davion Torres slowly got up from the bed after the young girl left. He couldn't believe his body's reaction to her. She was absolutely stunning; he had to admit. The photograph didn't do justice to her beauty. But what attracted him more to her was that she was unaware of her own beauty. She looked so fresh and innocent as she gaped at him! He groaned, trying to calm his arousal. How she was staring at it as if she'd never seen or felt one in her entire life. She couldn't be over eighteen and she was so soft! Here he was, the son of the famous 'Casino King' of Las Vegas, owning casinos all over the country. He couldn't believe that she didn't recognize a celebrity like him whose pictures were flashed almost everywhere. He was the most sought-after bachelor in the whole of Las Vegas and that slender, soft girl was oblivious to his good looks?
"Hey, Dave! Who are you standing and dreamin' of, man? Everyone's ready and waiting. Hurry up, best man," said Liam, coming into the room to get his cuff links.
"Yeah, at it, bro," Dave said, coming to his senses and picking up his clothes and wearing them. "Hey, who's the hot one of your wife's age, here?" He tried to ask casually.
"What? There are two. Sofia and Victoria, they're twins. They're Lisa's friends," informed Liam with a wink. "Hurry if you want to meet them," he added with a grin.
Dave rolled his eyes and shrugged. "Who wants to!" he said, wearing his shirt. The groomsmen were all wearing grayish-blue tuxedos with pale blue dress shirts. Liam's tuxedo was a shade darker than the rest. He wondered what her name was! Sofia or Victoria? In fact, Sofia suited her more, soft as cotton! He rolled his eyes at the cheesy thoughts occupying his head.
Sofia rushed upstairs to Lisa and handed the veil to her. Her entire face and neck were flushed with embarrassment and she was seething inwardly at the guy's insolence.
"Took you long enough, " whispered Victoria. "What happened? You're all red," she pointed out. Sofia snorted with anger.
"Tell you later. I met an insufferable d*ck," she said, rolling her eyes.
"Who?" mouthed a wide-eyed Victoria. Sofia shrugged and went towards Lisa to help fix her veil.
Soon it was time to go and Lisa's brother, Laurence, came to escort her towards the altar. The bridal party trooped out of the building, giggling and walking towards the altar. Sofia handed Lisa her bridal bouquet made of white roses and lavender and purple peonies with eucalyptus and ferns.
They constructed a beautiful floral wedding arch in front of the grand fountainhead, spurting crystal clear shimmering water into the stone pool. The white roses, purple hydrangeas, and vibrant lavender and purple peonies used for the arch created a beautiful contrast against the flowing billowy drapes tied with cascading ivy. Crystal vases with white roses alternating with purple peonies were placed all along the aisle. White rose petals were strewn along the paved aisle. White draped chairs tied with lavender satin bows were kept for the guests. The whole family was waiting for Lisa. Sofia could feel a pair of electric blue eyes watching her minutely but she was determined not to look at him. So the entire time that he stood with Liam being his best man, Sofia trained her eyes to look everywhere but at him.
"Oh my! Is that the insufferable d*ck you were talking about?" whispered Victoria, glancing at Davion. "He's eye-f*cking you, girl!" whispered Victoria with excitement. Sofia glared at her.
"Will you stop it?" she gritted out. Davion couldn't look away from the girl he encountered a short while ago. There was an ethereal quality in her, that held him captive and he couldn't look away and concentrate elsewhere.
"He's hot! I wish he was staring at me instead!" exclaimed Victoria in a whisper. Sofia whacked her on her arm and Victoria ducked.
"You two will trip and fall in those gowns if you don't watch it," scolded Carmella, Liam's cousin.
"Sowwy," said Victoria with a grin and Carmella rolled her eyes at her but it was obvious that she couldn't suppress the smile that was ready to break free. Sofia sneaked a look at the as*hole but to her horror, he smirked at her. Couldn't it get any worse? Why was his gaze stuck upon her all the time?
Lisa and her bridal party reached the arch. Everyone took their positions. The wedding ceremony was about to begin. The music started and the marriage officiant, Liam's parents, Liam followed by Dave, proceeded towards the altar. After everyone had taken their place, the wedding ceremony began. Victoria nudged Sofia as the insufferable d*ck still watched her like a hawk. Sofia didn't dare to sneak a glance this time. She kept her eyes focused on her best friend and Liam.
As Davion stood at his best friend's wedding, the wish to get married to that young girl was all he could think of. It wasn't because he was in love or anything. Davion didn't believe in love, but he wanted to taste her creamy skin, her sweet pink lips. He wanted to feel her baby-soft, naked body against his own, not once but again and again. He couldn't tire of having her every second in his bed. The thought of her made him hard, and he had to count sheep in his head. He was so busy counting sheep to calm his friend down there that he forgot his duty as the best man. A nudge from Liam brought him to his senses, and he handed the rings over for the ring exchange ceremony.
"I'm sure that he was lost in dreams of you," whispered Victoria.
Sofia gave her a look that shut her up, but she knew it was momentary. After the ceremony, she would surely start the topic again.
After the ceremony was over, the wedding photography session started. Sophia avoided the asshole who she found out was Liam's best friend called Dave. Victoria disappeared suddenly, and Sofia was thankful that she wasn't around to resume the topic.
Victoria followed the insufferable d*ck towards the drinks bar at the reception hall. Davion suddenly turned around and smirked, making her uncomfortable. "Hi! Are you following me?" he asked her, looking amused.
"Yes, I was," admitted Victoria. Davion's eyebrow shot up questioningly.
"And why may I ask?" he asked with a smirk.
"Well! I'm Victoria Blakesley. I wanted to know your name so that we can stop calling you by your longish nickname, " said Victoria. Davion laughed.
"Nice to meet you, Victoria. So what nickname has Sofia given me?" he asked with interest.
"Oh, you wouldn't want to know that," she told him, looking a little uncomfortable.
"I do want to know. Okay, let's have a deal. I'll tell you my name and answer any question that you may want to ask me. In return, you can tell me the nickname that Sofia has given me. Done?" asked Davion, his whole body alive with excitement. Thanks to her twin, he now knew her name. Sofia! It sounded like music to his senses. His friend down there twitched hearing the name. It seemed to like it too.
"Done," said Victoria, excitedly.
"I'm Dave and Liam's childhood friend. Now you can ask me a question and I'll answer it for you," said Davion.
"Umm, umm, are you married or in a relationship? Or single?" asked Victoria. Davion chuckled.
"Those are three questions, Victoria. Okay, to answer you, I'm very much single. Now it's your turn," reminded Davion, his heart beating as he felt like he would burst with curiosity.
Victoria shifted, looking uncomfortable. "Umm, well! Sofia calls you an insufferable d*ck," she said and whirled around to escape as fast as her legs could carry her. She rushed back to where she came from, her heartbeats pounding with apprehension. Only she could fall into such situations. Why did she need to follow him to set him up with her twin?
"He really is interested in Sofi," she muttered in her head when she collided with her twin. Sofia gave her a look.
"Have you gone crazy, Vicky? Pose for a picture, now. Say cheese," said Sofia as they stood beside Lisa and Liam for a photograph.
Davion stood like a statue, hearing the nickname. He hadn't actually expected that from such an angelic-looking girl. But well! He would show her what exactly he is! But for the time being, it was best that he ignored her else he would forget all his duties as a best man. So he joined in at the photography session, trying his best to ignore Sofia. It took all his energy to do so.
After the photography session, they all proceeded toward the banquet hall in the main building. The banquet hall was beautifully decorated with balloons, flowers, and crystal chandeliers. They were served refreshing drinks before lunch. There was a vast table laid to accommodate all of them. Silver vases with white roses, purple hydrangeas, and lavender and pink peonies served as centerpieces at regular intervals. In one corner, a dance floor was being readied for the first dance.
The first dance was very emotional, and everyone clapped for the newlyweds. Later, when lunch was served, they all took their seats at the table. Lisa sat with Liam and Arianna as the matron of honor, sat beside Liam. Sofia too was maid of honor and was about to sit beside Lisa when Dave arrived and occupied that place, leaving only one seat empty for her. The one beside Dave!
