A Wrong Marriage, An Unexpected Baby

The man who was sitting at the opposite side of the table at that moment , looked very much like a devil to Aurora .

For once , she even wondered if those piercing blue eyes , which had never shifted anywhere else other than her since she entered this cafe , could be more fierce than this . And it was not just the eyes , but his fair skin , the long sharp nose , his perfect jawline , those thick eyebrows and even his cold thin lips were all nothing but a perfect definition of being the most attractive man on this earth . To Aurora , even his hair was more than perfect as it was combed as neatly as ever . Though at the end of a long working day , a few strands of his hair did decide to defy him and kept falling on his forehead from time to time , no matter how many times he kept brushing them away with his fingers , they still lingered around his forehead only to make him even more charming , if that was even possible .

But his personality was the exact opposite .

As far as Aurora knows , there was not a single person in their office who was not afraid of their CEO due to his terrible personality . At times , she felt like no one could be as cruel as him , even when his intentions were for good only . Though Gabriel was one of the most important reasons why their company received such a prestigious position on the list of world business magazines last year , she still could not see him in a different light . As for Aurora , Gabriel was ruthless and terrifying .

In short , everything about this man named Gabriel Castellanos was alluring , just like a devil . At least that was what he seemed to Aurora at the beginning , as she knew very well that he would always be a person in her life who would always be out of her reach .

They were like two parallel lines which were never meant to meet .

But sitting in front of the young master Castellanos inside the cafe that evening , Aurora just could not decide what exactly she did that made their lives intersect with each other in such a way that she could never have imagined .

A marriage contract ?

Believing that she might have read it wrong , Aurora kept going through the words over and over again for a few times until his deep voice decided to interrupt her already confused mind at last .

" No matter how many times you read it , the words will never change .

It is what it is .

A contractual marriage between you and me .

All the terms and conditions are written inside the document . So , take them with you tonight and read carefully .

I want them signed by tomorrow evening . " Gabriel's harsh words finally caused Aurora to come out of her trance , in the end . And when she finally met with the reality , no matter how unbelievable it was for her right at that moment , Aurora did not want to stay silent any longer , even when it was someone like Gabriel Castellanos who was sitting before her right now .

" What if I do not agree to have a contractual marriage with you ? " Aurora uttered boldly , as if her helplessness in the end gave her the last bit of courage , so that she could openly refuse to obey this ruthless man named Gabriel .

That evening , even when her hands became clammy due to the sudden nervousness , Aurora did not hesitate to show her courage at all .

" Yes . You have all the rights to refuse this proposal , just as I have all the rights to decide whether I will approve your million dollar loan or not which you have requested from our company a few days ago . " The words came out of Gabriel's mouth like fire , but for Aurelia it felt like someone had poured a bucket full of cold water on her in the freezing december night , only to rob her of the last bit of courage that Aurora thought she had .

" No , you can not . You can not mix work life with matters that are completely personal . " Aurora felt like arguing for the first time in her life even when she knew very well who was the one standing at the opposite side . Though her chance of winning was very low , Aurora tried . She tried her best for the sake of her family .

After all , she had a sick brother whom she needed to look after . And now that her brother needed to go through surgery to recover from his illness , Aurora needed a lumpsome amount to proceed with the medical bills before the operation . And that was why she requested a loan from her company , as she was in dire need of the money .

But who knew that her helplessness would drag her into such a situation , from which she could never escape , no matter how much she wanted to .

" I can . It is my company and I have all the rights to decide . " Gabriel's firm statement confirmed her fears in the end and she could see no other way out at all .

Aurora found herself trapped in the devil's clutches at last .

Realising that now there was no use of reading this entire document any more , as she had no other choice but to agree with the terms that Gabriel had already decided , Aurora picked up the pen at last and signed the document . She did not even bother herself to go through the pages even for once , as she already knew that it was only a dead end for her .

No matter how flowery it might seem from the outside , the path that Aurora was about to walk was still full of thorns .

" Here . I did exactly what you asked for . So , please , do not reject my loan request . I need the money more than you think . " Pushing the papers towards Gabriel at last , Aurora uttered without trembling .

She was not afraid any more , as there was nothing left for her to be scared of now that she had sacrificed her life to save her brother without even thinking twice .

The document , which had just been signed by party B , was left untouched on the coffee table right in front of Gabriel's eyes for quite some time , but he did not bother to take a look at it , as he was already busy watching Aurora in silent . Perhaps he had never thought that this deal could be so easy for him to handle .

Gabriel thought he had won , but he won at the cost of someone innocent's defeat .

Seeing that the young master Castellanos had nothing more to say , Aurora stood up abruptly with her belongings , as she had no intention of staying back even if it was for a single second .

" I believe you have no more business to do with me now . So , I will take my leave . Have a good day , sir . "

Aurora greeted him gently without bothering to show any kind of emotions at all . She made sure to keep her face stiff all this time with no trace of anger , grudges or even grief , as she knew very well that they would be nothing but meaningless to the eyes of the devil .

And when she was done playing her role as the perfect employee , and a woman who had just entered into a contract marriage with party A , Aurora walked away as silently as she came .

But for Gabriel , something changed that evening . He could not feel the joy after his victory , no matter how much he wanted to , and except for watching her slender figure getting out of the cafe , he could do nothing for the time being .

Gabriel Castellanos was surely one of the people who always liked challenges and winning a battle with foul means was so against his nature . But this time he felt like he did exactly what he always detested .

Was this really a victory for him ?

Or did he actually lose against the girl who just left without sparing one single glance at her husband ?
