Elliot's POV
"Hi, bro." Allyson greets me. I am scanning the vast dark forest that surrounds the castle.
"Guarding the castle as usual?" He asks.
"Yes, Ali," I reply. He deep sigh.
"You always like that even we were kids. You have to relax sometimes. This castle is safe. We are in the middle of this forest that no one will dare do bad things. So stop like your military duty, bro." He chuckle as he said to me. I roll my eyes.
"You still didn't change, aren't you?" I smile flatly and back my stare to the dark forest. I feel his hand on my shoulder.
"I didn't understand why you always act this way, seems you always guiding our castle from such attacks that it will never happen." He said to me. He stops laughing and looks also to the dark forest.
"You can never tell, Allyson. Such evil is lurking on Earth. You never know what will happen in the future so I don't want to be too confident to be careless on my duty." I said.
"Ok, fine. You always say that. We are in the modern world, dude. Do you think the thieves can steal from us if ever, this castle is so huge that they can lose their way out?" He says. I sigh deeply.
"You don't understand. I must keep grandmother and you in safety. It so happen that you want me to stay here for grandmother when you left to study in New York and build your career there. It should be I, must be by your side always." I said. He sigh.
"Grandmother needs you, she is alone and I am young and can be alone in the city that is why I cannot leave with you, you must stay here to accompany her while I am away." He said.
"Yeah, I know that and I understand," I said. I pout.
"Hey, let's change the topic. This afternoon when Colton and I headed in the headquarters, he inquired to me so many questions which I find it odd." He said. It peak my curiosity.
"Really? What questions he inquired to you?"
"He is interested where my ancestors came from. When I asked him why he is interested in my ancestors' origin, he told me that we live in the castle that is why he is interested to ask. But my guts tell me so it's not." He said. I furrow my brows. They are werewolves. Now they are interested in Allyson's ancestors. I wonder what is their purpose and intentions are. Seems I should be keeping my eyes on them. I told myself.
"What did you answer?" I asked him
"I told him that my ancestors are from Europe and.." He said. His eyes avoided my stare at him.
"And?" I ask arch my brow. Seems he did some stupid thing.
"W-well I almost spill out, not telling full details to him." He said stammering.
"And what is it?" I ask him.
"I told him I can show him the library but don't worry I stop in time. I said oh, it's nothing I told him." he coo me. I close my eyes controlling my anger. Oh, my King, if only you know this will bring you in big trouble. I said to myself. I deep sigh and open my eyes.
"Don't do it again, Allyson. Don't trust easily the people who you meet. Maybe they are not the people who you could trust." I told him frustratingly.
"Yes! Yes! I know. But don't worry, Elliot. They are kind and can be trusted." He said.
"How did you know he or they can be trusted, Ali? You just met them a couple of days." I said feeling my headache forming in my head in frustration.
"Oh, I know. Trust me, Elliott. I know I can trust them."
"Still, remember always what are your mother and father said about that library, Ali. It is very safe to follow them. Now, that it happened they might lurk secretly on this castle to find that library and so I have to be more strict. I will keep eye on them." I said.
"Ok, I am sorry, Elliot. I cause you trouble." He apologizes to me. His shoulders sink. I deep sigh and tap his shoulder. I cannot blame my King for he doesn't know the truth of his identity and ancestors. This is not the time to tell him the truth but on what is happening, seems that the day to reveal the truth to him is near. I thought.
"It's ok my, King, oh, Ali," I said. He chuckled.
"You know sometimes you are weird. Even when we are kids there are times you call me your King, you are funny." He said. I just keep quiet.
"Ok, I am tired. I am going to my room now. " He said.
"Ok. Just rest, Ali." I said and then he left.
After Allyson left I take one last look at the dark forest and go to Grandma's bedroom.
Knock. Knock.
"Who's there?" I heard grandma's voice from inside.
"It's me, grandma," I said.
"Oh, ok. Come in." She said. I open the door and enter.
"What is it, dear. It's late at night. You should mind-link me instead." Grandma smilingly said. I scan the room and check the veranda first before I reply to her.
"It's ok, grandmother. I do roving. And it is good to check you here aside telling you some important matter." I said.
"Oh, thank you, my child, and what is that important matter I should know?" As she held my hand and guide her to the couch and sit beside her.
"Now spill it out." She said. I sigh.
"About Colton," I said.
"He is the blonde guy who is a werewolf, right?" She said. I nod.
"Yes, grandmother. He inquired questions this afternoon to Allyson about his ancestors. When Allyson asked him why he asked, he told him that because he was curious that we are living in the castle." I said. She gulped when she heard this.
"So how did Allyson answer it?"
"Grandmother, he said that our ancestors come from Europe and he almost spills out the library." I said.
"W-whaatt?!" Grandmother shocked in horror. Her eyes almost bulging.
"Yes, grandma," I said in a low voice.
"Oh, that kid." She said closing her eyes and tweaking her hair.
"Don't worry grandma, I will double guard inside the castle and will be more strict to the three wolves. I will keep my eyes on them."
"Yes. Yes, please do it." Grandma. said anxiously.
"Ok, grandma. I am going out now. Sleep well and don'tworry about it. I will take this matter." I said. As I held her guiding her to bed. I help her laying in the bed."
"Ok. Grandma. sleep well." And I kiss her forehead. Again I checked the veranda and close the door before I totally left grandmother's room.
