C41-Choosing The Groups for The Mission

Excerpt From C24

"So what is this mission, you want us to do, Elder? Do you want us to find out this power?" Ask one of the vampires.

"Hmm, brilliant mind! My child. Yes! The King wants to know what this kind of power is. Who or what is this thing. That is your mission. Find it." The Elder said.

"So where we can find it, Elder Cuthbert?" The man beside the she-vamp asked.

"The power emitted in Amerigo. So you should go there. Bring that power here. This is the King's order." The Elder said firmly. He looks to the Royal Commander and says;

"So I want you, Royal Commander to assign the three higher rank officers for this mission and give them our best warriors. We don't know what this power is, so we should take extra care."

"Yes, Elder Cuthbert." The Royal Commander gives the Elder a curt nod.

"So, I must leave for the moment. When you are done, Royal Commander, report to me, ok?" The Elder said.

"Yes. Elder Cuthbert."

"Hmm." And the Elder disappeared in the blink of an eye.

Third Person's POV

The Royal Commander held an emergency meeting after the Elder left. He assembled the officers and warriors first then he announced their mission.

"This mission is very important to the King so who wants to carry the order? We need three volunteers to be leaders and choose his or her best warriors for the mission. You are allowed to have five warriors for each team." The Royal Commander says, scanning the facial expressions of the officers. There are nine high-rank officers volunteers in the hall; four commanders and four generals and one Chief Strategy. The Royal Commander is happy to see that they want to carry the mission but he needs only three groups as per the King's order.

The Royal Commander makes nine-piece of paper and rolls them after putting the three numbers on the three papers and the rest were blank.

"Ok. There are only three numbers here and the rest was blank. So get one and open it if I say so. If you get the number, you are in for the mission. The rest stay here. No one can use their power. Don't cheat because the Elder will know. If that will happen, you are disqualified. So be honest. Do I make myself clear?" The Royal Commander said. He looks intently at the nine high-rank officers.

"Yes, commander!" The nine officers said in unison. They are excited to get one roll of paper for themselves.

"Ok. Everybody gets their piece of roll paper now." The Royal Commander instructed them. The nine officers get one roll of paper for themselves. The Royal Commander looks at them seeing they have roll paper each one, he instructs the next step.

"So those three officers that get number from one to three, forward." The Royal Commander said. The vampirette forward. The man at the corner forward and the man on the right side of the vampirette forward. The Royal Commander looks at them each before speaking

"Ok, you, Commander of the North Ashley Reid, Commander Darren Ardelean of the east, and Commander Kieran Bogdan of the west, gather your warriors to be with you in this mission."

"Copy, Royal Commander!" They said in unison.

"Ok. I leave it to you now. Tomorrow starts your journey. " The Royal Commander says. The three commanders bow their heads.

"Yes, Royal Commander!" They answered. He was satisfied with their answers. He knew the three are some of the best commanders of their Kingdom.

"Ok, choose your best warriors at least three to five and go early tomorrow. for your journey. I leave it to you now." The Royal Commander said and strides towards outside of the hall.

The vampire that was not chosen has envy in their eyes because if the three will succeed in their mission, a much-awaited promotion awaits them. Others are happy with their success to get the mission.

"Congratulation, commanders!" They said. The three smile at them.

"Thank you." They said.

"Ok, I have to excuse myself now to choose my warriors and be prepared tomorrow, guys. See you all tomorrow. " Commander Ashly Reid says, she becomes black smoke and goes towards the door. The two look at each other and nod. Commander Darren Ardelean turns to a bat and flies outside. The last Commander Kieran Bogdan open a portal and leave.

Each commander organizes their team. Each team gets the best of their warriors and tracker for the mission. They are busy assembling their warriors to get five warriors for each team.

Early morning, the three groups embark on the long journey to Amerigo.
