C31- The Secret Behind The Door

Colton's POV

"So, how can we open this huge door?" Lex asked.

"Push. Let's try to push." Alex said. And they push the door but their effort is put in vain. I look at the intricate design trying to figure out how to open it. Blood, Casper said. What? Blood? I replied. Yes, your blood. Casper says again. Before I pull my dagger hidden in my boot, I heard Lex in pain.

"Ouch!" Lex exclaimed. His finger was cut when he touched the pointed leaf at the intricate designs of the door.

"Be careful, I told you." Alex hissed to his brother, I looked at the leaf it has Lex's blood and a sharp silver protruding on its end. But the door still closes. I told you, it's your blood needed. Not their blood. Casper said. Why? I asked. I explain to you later. Just do it now. He anxious said. Someone is coming, go. He said. So I put my finger on that leaf and prick my finger on it. Eventually, the intricate design slowly move and I was surprised when the vines hold my hand facing my palm at the door and I feel tiny sharps under my palm pricking my palm and drawing my blood.

"Colton!" Lex and Alex both exclaimed but I put my other pointed finger to my mouth to shut them.

"Shhh. Just wait." I calmly said. Then the door opens. They are in shock.

"H-how did you know?" Alex said.

"Casper knows. Come inside hurry. Somebody is coming." I said as I enter inside first. Then the door closes again after we get in.

Inside was dark but the torches at the side walls fired to light up the room voluntarily.

It looks like a museum in a new era. At the upper walls have portraits of Lycan King and his luna, their children: a family portrait. We gasps at what we saw. We carefully walk down and look at each item in the crystal icebox.

"Wow! This is amazing. How did they have these collections?" Lex said. I look at him and notice that his face is paled. I worried about him. Then he seems like hurting. This caught Alex's attention when he was looking at a white crystal dagger that has an intricate design.

"Lex," I exclaimed. Alex runs to us.

"What happened?" Alex said.

"I-I don't know bro. I feel w-weak and s-shiver." Lex said. Looking at me and to his brother. He was poisoned. Casper said.

"Poison," I said. Alex looks at me. Then he look at the pointed finger of his brother that was wounded by the leaf. It was not healed and the blood is black.

"He was poisoned by the leaf design at the door." Alex gets panicked.

"What shall we do? Alex asked. Looking for his brother who is now in heavy breathing. I close my eyes and open it again. Casper, what shall we do? I asked Casper. Casper is an ancient lycan he knows everything. Your blood. Let him drink your blood. He said. So I did what he told me. I pulled my dagger hidden on my boots and slice my palm, squeezing gently his mouth to open.

" Drink," I command Lex. My blood drops to his mouth and he follows my orders. After a couple of minutes, his face back to lively color again. He coughs and spits the black blood. Alex taps his back to help his brother to spit more poison out of his system. Then we heard voices from afar going to this museum. Alex and I both look at each other, without a word, we pull Lex to stand and search for an exit to escape. I called Casper again for the help. Go right, Casper said. And we go to the right. Pull that candle holder. There is a candle holder beside the wall and I pull it, a secret door opened and we enter inside. It was dark but we see our way out for we have a supernatural vision. As we go along, Casper told me to push the wall again and we slide down. We are rolling to the ground. When we stood up, we are at the back of the garden's castle.

"Phew! We almost caught. Let's go back to the bedroom now. The housekeepers might be awake anytime time soon." I said. So we quickly rush into our bedroom. Hey, is Lex fine, now? I asked Casper. Yes, he did. Don't worry about him anymore. And Casper goes to sleep. As I take my shower before I go to bed. I wake up Casper from his sleep. He growled. Why you are disturbing my sleep? He said. I can't sleep yet. I answered him back. Why? He said. Because you promise me a while ago that you will explain to me why my blood can open the door and heal Lex from being poisoned? Now, talk. I said to him. He huffed before speaking. Ok, listen. He starts. That door is called Tantum Regiorum et Fidelium Intrare Possunt door. He said. What it does mean? I asked him. It means "Only The Royals and Loyals Can Enter." He answered. What? Only the Royals and Loyals can enter? But I am not a royal blood. I said in surprise. But your clan is very Loyal to the Royals and it's run in your blood until now, isn't it? Casper smirk. Oh, yes. That makes sense. I said to him. So w-wait? Does this mean that we are now found what we are looking for? I said to Casper my eyes growing big in excitement and surprise. Yes! Dude. Our effort paid off. Casper grins at me and I grin, too. So the only problem we have is to find the heir? And that heir is in this castle, right? I said to Casper. Yes. Casper said.
