Chapter 22 Leon's Fiancée

Lynnsey slightly shook the hem of the dress, and the wine drops rolled off and dripped on the floor.
There was no wine stain left on the dress.
Lynnsey cracked a smile, "There are too many people who targeted me out of jealousy, that's why I chose a brocade dress for tonight. It's waterproof. But I believe that you didn't splash wine on me out of jealousy, did you?"
Erica's face darkened immediately. How the hell could a dress be waterproof?
"Enough, Erica. Stop making trouble again, or you should go back to the Lampert family right away."
Leon was also in the dressing room. He saw what happened and could tell that Erica did it on purpose. But he had no idea why his elder sister would do such a stupid thing.
Of course, Erica felt the same thing. She didn't understand why her little brother was on the same side as Lynnsey.
She wanted to shout and smash some things to vent her anger, but she couldn't. She had to suppress the fury in her heart.
Lynnsey ignored her completely and put on lipstick in the mirror, and the red lipstick made her look sexier than usual. After that, she walked up to Leon and smiled, "Shall we?"
Leon nodded, and the two walked out side by side.
All the guests had arrived and the banquet hall was buzzing with clacks of wine glasses and whispering.
People started to guess what this banquet was for.
Suddenly, people heard someone exclaim at the entrance and looked over.
"Jezz, what are the Morgados doing here?"
"You tell me! And Ray is here too!"
"Ray rarely attends this kind of event. I think maybe there is something big going to be announced tonight."
Amidst the discussion among the crowd, Ray walked into the banquet hall. He was in a neat black suit tonight, and the look on his face was cold enough to scare people around him away.
"Give me a break, Ray." Felix couldn't help complaining, "You're chasing all the women away."
But Ray gave him a cold look and said lightly, "Didn't you want me to come here with you tonight?"
Isaac exposed Felix, "I know. He has a crush on Ms. Merrick, and he brought us here with him to give him the courage to talk to her. You shouldn't have agreed to his request, Ray."
Ray lowered his eyes and said nothing. He didn't come here because of Felix, but because he saw that woman walking into Watkins's villa yesterday.
That woman should be a Watkins.
So when he received the invitation, he canceled work and came. To his disappointment, he didn't see her as he wished.
As soon as Ray walked into the banquet hall, he attracted the attention of every lady.
There were women who tried to chat him up, but they all hesitated when they saw the look on his face.
Suddenly, the light was on the stairway on the second floor. Leon and Lynnsey showed up and went downstairs.
When people saw Leon, they immediately had a guess.
Was tonight's banquet about Leon's engagement?
The Watkins family was one of the top ten families in East Plergant, which made Leon an eligible bachelor to many ladies. Everyone wanted to know which lady was so lucky to be his new fiancée.
Instantly, they all fell their eyes on the woman next to Leon, shocked.
It was a sexy and gorgeous woman they had never seen before. Where did she come from? All of them had the same question in their minds.
People couldn't help but exclaim and whisper.
"Oh my! Leon's fiancée is so beautiful! I have never seen anyone as stunning as she!"
"She is so hot! I like her!"
"Wait a minute. Don't you think that she looks like Ms. Bridge, the one who was the most beautiful woman in this city when she was alive?"
"Are you talking about Lynnsey Bridge? Nah, I don't think she could compare to this lady."
Lynnsey was indeed more charming than she used to be four or five years ago. Back then, she was still a naive and innocent girl who had fantasies about her future.
After so many years, she grew up and became more stable, while her temperament was getting more elegant and mature.
"Damn it. She is the mermaid we met yesterday." Felix exclaimed, his eyes widened in disbelief.
Isaac chuckled, "Well, your mermaid has become Mr. Watkins's fiancée. Time to say goodbye to your little mermaid, Felix"
As for Ray, his face darkened. Did he really misunderstand her, and she didn't approach him with purpose?
And now, she became Mr. Watkins's fiancée when they met again.
Ray was suddenly irritated, and he squeezed the wine glass in his hand.
Lynnsey walked downstairs with Leon side by side. She put on a proper smile and faced people's stares calmly.
Suddenly, she felt a sharp gaze fall on her. She frowned and looked over when she met Ray's eyes.
Why did he look at her like that?
Lynnsey thought to herself and looked away as if she hadn't seen anything.
Leon stood on the steps and gestured to the guests. "All my distinguished guests, thank you so much for your time attending the banquet tonight. But I have to say first that this banquet is not for me but for my cousin, Lynnsey Bridge."
As soon as he finished speaking, the banquet hall suddenly fell silent. The next moment, people spoke in whispers.
"Lynnsey Bridge?"
"Did I hear it right? Lynnsey Bridge? Didn't she die four years ago?"
"I just said that this young lady looks like Lynnsey Bridge. None of you believed me. She is indeed Lynnsey Bridge. I remember what she looks like!"
"But isn't she dead? How could she be alive?"
