Lynnsey didn't expect Spike to be Ray's son. Spike looked about Liam's age, four or maybe five.
But when she was in East Plergant four or five years ago, she never heard that Ray was married.
Ray ignored Spike's shouts and turned to warn Lynnsey, "I don't know how you found out that I got a son, but you better keep your mouth shut. If you dare to say a word to anyone about what happened today, you and your daughter will be my next target. You have my words."
Hearing this, Lynnsey was so angry that she almost chuckled. She had heard too many threats these past few days. But this man should never treat her with Nicole.
She stared straight into his eyes and said, "I know the Morgado family is powerful in this city and no one dares to mess with you people. But you threatened me with my daughter again, I will let you feel sorry about what you said today."
If he wanted to do it the hard way, then be it.
Lynnsey gave him a cold look and left.
Ray didn't look away until Lynnsey disappeared around the corner. He turned to look at Spike and questioned him, "Tell me, why did you come here?"
No one knew that he broke out in a cold sweat when Joel Maher, the butler in the Morgado family, told him that Spike was missing.
Although becoming a father was unintended for him, his two sons had become the most important people in his world. If he lost Spike, he would never forgive himself.
Spike lowered his head and said nothing. He didn't want to stay in the Morgado's villa at all. He would rather stay here than stay at home.
"If you don't tell me, I will go ask that woman," Ray suddenly said.
Hearing his words, Spike suddenly looked up, "I came to find her. She knew nothing about it. Can't you be reasonable, Daddy?"
"Am I unreasonable, or are you undisciplined? You are grounded for three days." Ray snorted.
"Suit yourself. I don't care." Spike snorted back.
Anyway, he always felt being grounded when he was in the Morgado villa. What was the difference between being grounded in the yard and being grounded in the room?
Ray was annoyed by Spike's attitude. The Morgado family had never had such disobedient children at all. It seemed that it was about time to get him a good teacher.
As soon as they returned, Amber strode up to them and said anxiously, "Spike, are you alright? It freaked me out when Joel told me that you were missing! Let me see if you get hurt!"
She rushed over to hug Spike in her arms. But Spike didn't want to be touched by her and pushed her away hard.
Amber seemed to lose her balance and fell on the sofa. She looked as if she was going to cry. "Spike, what are you doing? I'm your mother!"
But Spike didn't even look at her and ran to the study. He didn't look back and just slammed the door shut.
Amber covered her face and cried out, "Why did Spike become like this, Ray? I love him so much, but he always pushes me away. Does he hate me because I gave birth to him before marriage?"
Ray was already fretful about what happened today, and he got even more impatient when he heard her crying.
Amber knew she should stop there, but her time was running out. Only if Lynnsey was dead could she take her time to plan the next move.
But now, Lynnsey could find out the existence of Arian and Spike at any time. She had to marry Ray as soon as possible.
She couldn't afford to wait until another incident ruined her plan.
Biting her lip, Amber said hesitantly, Can I live with Spike for a period of time, Ray? I want to fix this. I don't want to be disliked by my son all the time. Spike must blame me for not spending time with him since he was little. Maybe staying with me for a period of time will let him know that I really love him."
Ray paused for a moment, then he fixed his eyes on her face, "Haven't I told you not to covet what doesn't belong to you?"
Amber was terrified by the look on his face, and she sobbed louder, "No, I mean, I just want to spend some time with Spike. He is my little boy, and I love him so much. Do you really have the heart to see him alienating me for the rest of my life? Ray, please! Let me move in for a month, no, half a month. It will be enough."
