Rose’s POV:
The rest of our journey lasted another 2 ½ months. Every second of that journey was strained. My only escape was when I got to go to my cabin at night. Thorn ignored me the rest of the journey, all his time was spent on deck. If our paths crossed he would simply look away and start in another direction.
When the captain felt better, we were invited to have dinner in his cabin, I tried to engage Thorn in a conversation, he just kept on eating giving me one syllable answers, the rest of the time he was outright rude and grumpy, this went on for over two months. So I resigned myself to his intolerable behavior, obviously he regretted what happened between us, which made me feel even more horrid and disgusted with myself.
