    I didn’t get the chance to go to Jem last night, since Doris stood up and said we all needed to get to bed. I was practically shoved into my tent, and before I knew it I was falling asleep, my mind full of the swirling thoughts that were distracting me, confusing me, destroying everything I’ve ever known to be real. I packed up my tent slowly and meticulously, going through the motions with everyone else as they laughed and talked about last night.
