The next morning was quiet, the atmosphere between everyone was quiet, making it feel like everyone was on edge. Ren went off with Jem to hunt, saying they needed to be alone and the other guys went off to do things, leaving us girls all by ourselves for the afternoon. I knew we were going back on the road again tomorrow so I suggested we all go take a bath together in the stream, washing the dirt and grime off of us before we went back on the path. No one seemed to be against the idea, though I couldn’t stop watching Ana as she walked slowly, taking deep breaths and touching her stomach as if it was tender. I couldn’t help but wonder if she ate something bad, but she kept away from everyone and had this air of ‘Do not talk to me,’ So I was hesitant to try.
