I look at Caleb who is now sitting beside me.
He looks so calm despite the ruckus his pack is probably now experiencing. I involuntarily smile at him but he doesn't return it. And I roll my eyes at that.
"Why are you different?" he asks me.

I see Adi and Caleb smirking at each other. They don't need any mindlink. They are just fine this way. They can communicate through their eyes. I have always been jealous of their friendship.
