I had placed a handful of guards in Trevor’s pack so they could always watch over her and report back to me. That had been the only way my wolf had been able to function. It had almost gone crazy without the sight of Alexa or the smell of her scent, and I had also found it really hard to function.
It was impossible to stop thinking about her on most occasions, she was always on my mind on waking up and when going to bed. Of course, I had wanted to reach her since the morning after the horrible night she experienced being auctioned like a piece of meat, but it had been impossible because the guards reported that she never stepped out of the room, even though she was fairing alright.
