Reader’s POV
The shock on Cami’s face when Auden asked of Alexa's whereabouts was so stark. It was as if life was gradually seeping out of her with each passing minute. Her eyes were wide opened and her face had turned pale.
“Au… Auden…” Cami stuttered, her hand flying up to grip his wrist. Soon, she was hitting his hands trying to gasp out pleas for him to let go of her neck but he didn’t budge since he was engulfed with immense anger.
With the chokehold he still had on her, Auden tugged her forward and with a hard voice which was filled with spite and hatred, he said, “You better be honest with me because you really won't like what I’d do to you if you try telling me lies.” The veins on his neck were now protruding at this point.
