Chapter 5 heading to my new home

Carla’s P.O.V

I rode in the car in complete silence, not knowing what to say after seeing Gabi and what was happening to her. I was sure that the vampire had drained her until she was dead because vampires were greedy, soulless creatures who only cared about their next feed, but what if that vampire was different and he was actually turning her? I never heard them bidding on her, but then again I didn't hear any of the others being bid on either. Was it possible that the vampire was her mate or just his next meal? I hadn't realised that I had dropped off to sleep, until I was gently shook and woke up.

“Hey, we’re here. Come on, the boss is waiting to see you.” Kidz said and I rolled my eyes. I got out of the limo after Kidz and looked around, not knowing where I was again and made a mental note to ask Kidz where we are. We walked inside the massive house, with Kidz opening the door for me and letting me walk in first, which made me really nervous, not knowing what was waiting for me when I went inside. Kidz stood beside me and I watched as his eyes glazed over, obviously mind-linking this mysterious boss of his. I wonder who he was, it was obvious that he was rich because he paid five million dollars just to get me, but why did he do that? What was this mysterious boss hoping to get from me?

“The boss is out for the moment, so he wants me to show you around. You will learn the rules, where to go and where not to go. You will obey everything he tells you to do.” Kidz said and I looked at him like he was crazy. When I first walked in I felt nervous, but now I just felt angry at being ordered about, especially by someone who couldn't even be bothered to be here. I needed to assert myself now or they would think I was weak and try to take advantage of me, which was the last thing I wanted because who knows what he or they would do.

“First off, I’m not obeying anyone that isn't even here to show his face to me. Second, I’ll go anywhere I want to go. I am not a child and I’ll make my own rules as we go. I’m not a slave and nor am I a prisoner here, so whatever plans anyone has for me, better watch their step. I’m not going to be easy to live with. Hell, I just got traded to Goddess only knows who and he's not here, so do you really think I’m going to obey him?” I said, rolling my eyes again as Kidz stood there in shock. I don't think he was used to someone talking back to him and I really don't think he thought I was going to talk to him this way, especially that I wouldn't make eye contact with him when we first met.

“Well, come on then, show me around like he told you to do.” I said and watched as he yet again began to mind-link. I stood there, looking around at my surroundings while I waited for him to finish up with his conversation.

Kidz’s P.O.V

“Dude, you're going to owe me big time. This girl is going to be a handful, she won't listen and she even said she would be making her own rules, going wherever she wants to go.” I said, mind-linking the boss.

“That's how I wanted it. Good, she will be a badass Luna, just keep it up. I want to see what she has, once she reaches the level I need her to be at she will be perfect. Now, go show her around, my room is upstairs, so tell her she's not allowed to go up there. I want to see what she does, also, have Eppes be rude to her and get her to try and start a fight with her, test her every move. She will be tested every day until the party.” The boss replied, making me sigh.

“Fine, but you seriously owe me for this. Get your ass back here because I don't know how long I can put up with her.” I said and ended the link with him.

“Come on, I’ll show you around.” I said to Carla, gesturing for her to follow me.

“Eppes, the boss wants you to start a fight with the new girl to see what she's got, hurry up and get in here.” I said, mind-linking her, with my back to Carla so that she wouldn't notice. I could hear Eppes laughing over the mind-link, making me shake my head.

“What are you shaking your head for?” Carla asked, making me tense up as I tried to think up a quick excuse.

“I just remembered something, that's all. It's nothing for you to worry about.” I replied, just as Eppes decided to reply to me.

“Fine, but if I kill her like the last one then I better not get in trouble.” Eppes replied.

“Don't worry, you won't, now hurry up.” I said, quickly ending the link. I walked her to the kitchen, letting her walk in first, but Eppes still wasn't here and I just wanted to get this over and done with.

“This is where you will cook if you are hungry, no one will cook for you, but you.” I said and she just shrugged her shoulders at me.

“Okay, fine, I don't care.” She replied and I then left the kitchen, taking her to the dining hall.

“This is where the pack eats and cleans up after themselves, everyone helps clean and over in that room is the laundry room, you wash your own clothes. Come on, there's more.” I said and she nodded. I heard the back door open and close, making me turn to see who it was. Oh s**t, here we go, I thought to myself, just as I saw Eppes.
