“You know you really don’t have to come, Viktor. I can handle this meeting.” Victoria says to me as we walk down the stairs. “You should probably stay available for when your fiancee appears, bro.”
I was not originally planning to attend the ambassador meeting, but somehow the presence of that little Fae has piqued my interest. So there is no way I will miss some time to study her.
“I want to go. We should be a united front. I have told everyone where I am and have given Oscar strict instructions to come to get me when she arrives. It will be fine.” I say to her.
She shrugs her shoulders and we stay quiet the rest of the way to the meeting room. When we walk in, it looks like we are the last to arrive, because there are only two seats left unoccupied, mine and Vikki’s.
