Chapter 4: How to treat her

Wade's Point of View

I know that she hates me for taking her from her family but I don't care. That is actually a good thing for me because I don't want our bond to get stronger. She is the daughter of the person that I hate the most so she can't be my mate. I should hate her also.

“Our mate hates us now." Knight said and I can feel that he is starting to feel sad about the thought.

“Shut it, Knight." I said back.

My wolf is strong and brave. Everyone is scared of him because he is bigger than the rest. He even looks vicious but now, he is acting like a pup just because our mate is hating us.

“Don't you care about her?" He asked.

He is acting as if I have abused her even though I haven't done anything to her yet. This wolf is over reacting.

Deborah suddenly appeared in front of me while I was in deep thought. I almost fell from the chair that I am sitting on. She really loves making me jump because of her sudden appearances and I am in my room! What if I was naked and she entered my room without any words?

“Deborah, can you please stop that? This is my room and what if I am naked?" I said in an annoyed tone.

She rolled her eyes at me.

“I already saw it, Wade." She said without even thinking about it.

What the hell? She is saying that as if we did something that we shouldn't and it sounds so gross which made me shiver.

“Don't say it like that. Someone might hear it and they might think that we sleep together." I said.

Deborah laughed which made me scowl at her but she laughed even louder.

“Well, that is not my problem. It is their mind that thinks that way and it is a dirty thought even though I was talking about when you were young. I was the one who took care of you." I was facepalmed at what she said but she is also right.

Deborah is the one who took care of me and I am very grateful because of that. She is also the one helping me to hide these poor people from getting harmed once again.

“Are you going to abuse her here?" She suddenly asked which made me look at her.

Is she seriously asking me this question? Why do they think that I am going to hurt that woman?

“Always remember that you are not like that so don't ever do it." I scowl at her because she believes that I am not that kind of person but still believes that I am going to hurt Mia just because I hate her family.

She left me there and sighed. I also block my wolf so I can have some time alone without him talking to me in my mind. He is just making my head hurt because he keeps on whining about his mate.

I was about to read when I suddenly smelled Mia's scent. It is very intoxicating and I must admit that it is driving me crazy too.

“Fvck this mate bond!" I cussed.

Wait. Why can I smell her scent?

There was a sudden knock which made me jump from where I was sitting. Why do people like surprising me? All I want is to be alone at the moment but they keep bothering me.

I went to the door and I was ready to yell at whoever dared to disturb me this early morning However I choked from my saliva when I saw that it was Mia. She is standing there innocently as if she is not even afraid that I am going to scold her for disturbing me.

“Good morning." She even greeted me while stuttering.

I don't know what to say because I don't want her to think that I am soft since she might be confident enough to go against me. It would be such a pain in the arse if that ever happens.

“What do you want?" I asked.

She looks surprised because my voice is a bit loud and I can see that she is scared of me but I don't care. That is better than not being feared.

“I just want you to tour me around the place." She is stuttering.

I sighed and I actually don't want to come with her but Deborah already left. She might also won't listen to me when I try to call her because I know that she wants for me to be closer to this woman. I know that she will only say that she is busy when the truth is she is looking around for new clothes since she loves leaving this place to go shopping.

“Can't you do it by yourself? Familiarize it on your own?" I asked.

Mia shakes her head to tell me that she can't which made me sigh because I know that I really need to help her know our place. No one will help her except for me since I am not even sure if someone has been nice to her since she came here last night.

“Okay but don't ever annoy me or else I will leave you there and wait if one of the people outside kills you," I said just to scare her.

Everyone here already knows that she is my mate and I can see that they are trying not to kill her because of how much they hate her family however some of them don't hate her since they know that she is innocent of what happened before. I know that too but I can't stop myself from hating her too because she is the daughter of the alpha.

Maybe the moon goddess is punishing me because of what I have done that is why she gave me Mia as my mate. I killed a lot of our kind but they are not innocent. They are the ones who made some of our people miserable when they were in their packs and I don't regret taking them out.

“Let's go." I said and walked first.

I can feel that she is following behind me and not saying anything. She got really scared that I was going to let her be killed by them. I shake my head since I can't believe that I really look that cruel but I am also glad. I would rather have people be scared of me because I know that they will be afraid to betray me.

“I told Deborah to create this castle for people who volunteered to fight with me when we attacked the other packs." I explained as we left the castle. “They are the ones who are eager to destroy other packs. They camp outside and make sure to know the plans of our enemy so we can know when to attack. "

We are now out of the castle and people around us are bowing to give me some respect. I was their alpha when I told them that I am not because I know that rogues like us don't like packs however these people are different. They want a pack who will protect them and treat them like a family however the pack that they got into are the ones who ruined them.

“So your men are ruthless killers of innocents?" She said and I can hear a judging tone which made me growl at her.

I can see that she is surprised at my action but I don't care. She shouldn't judge my people as if she have known them all her life because she doesn't know what they have been through from the hands of those she said innocent wannabes.

“Killers? That is what you think of them?" I yelled while looking into her eyes. “Do you even know who they are?"

My eyes landed on the blind woman who was walking with a stick on her hand so I held Mia's hand and pulled her to approach the old lady. She is trying to get out of my grip but I am making sure that she can't get away.

“Good morning, grandma." I greeted the woman who I treated as my grandma for a long time.

“Good morning, Wade." She greeted me back.

She recognized my voice which makes me want to smile but I did my best not to. I want to look as serious as possible.

“If you don't mind me asking, what happened to your eyes?" I asked even though I already know what happened.

She was confused but I know that she can feel Mia's present so she nodded her head.

“My mate who is an alpha from our pack, beat me up. He punched me so hard in the face everyday that my eyes got injured." She said. “That is why I am thankful that Wade put some justice to what happened to me since my mate also let our member without any mate r@pe me because he said that I was weak."

Grandma Helen is not affected by it anymore because she already got the justice that she deserved. She was even there when I killed her mate. She can't see it but she can hear his begs for him to live however I didn't listen.

“Did you hear that? Don't ever think that every pack is so perfect and rogues are the ones who are ruthless because we might be the ones who have more mercy than those pups with packs." I said before letting her go and leaving her there.

I gritted my teeth at the memory of my mother being killed.

“They will pay." I mutter.

Mia's Point of View

Wade's grip is hurting me however I felt numb when I heard the story of the old woman. I can't believe that her own mate can do that to her because I believe that mates are supposed to be your only partner who will make sure to protect you but I was wrong. Her eyes are already white and there are still some scars on her face which I know that they are not going away anymore. She will carry it forever.

“Sorry about Wade's attitude, dear. I know that you are thinking that he is heartless because of how many times he has gotten his hands dirty from the blood of those he has killed but I assure you that he is a soft person." The old lady woman said while smiling at me and she sounds so caring which makes me smile too even though she can't see me.

I thought that people were going to kill me when he left me however I was walking around with grandma Hellen but one even tried to attack me. Well, others roll their eyes at me but some are friendly. Hellen memorizes this town although she can't see, she has toured me to let me know about the place more. I also notice that they all call this a pack which surprises me because since I was young I believed that rogues are rebels who don't want to ruled however they don't seem like it. They even treat Wade as their alpha and follow his every command. I also can see how much they respect him.

“May I ask why you call this a pack? I thought rogues don't like to be ruled?" I asked.

Helen laughed at my question which made me realize that it is quite offending. I should have kept my mouth shut.

“Sorry." I apologize.

“It is alright, dear." She said after laughing. “Well, not all rogues want to be rogues. Some of us just need to run away to live or die in the hands of our own pack."

I was about to ask her if it is true but I can already see the proof that there are packs who will really hurt you even though you are one of them. So this is why Wade is attacking other packs? But why did he attack ours? My father didn't do anything to him and I know that.
