Chapter. 3 I'll Help You

1164 Words
April ran past Sean, who was kissing Camila so passionately. Logan immediately chased April, who was running, crying. Sean froze to see April and Logan chasing each other. "Honey, what's wrong? Why stop?" Camila whimpered as she clung to Sean's arms. "Wait a minute, babe, I have a business." Sean wanted to catch up with his two friends, but Marry's voice from the terrace stopped him. "Sean, come on in; the show will start soon," Mary exclaimed. Sean had no other choice. He walked, holding Camila's hand. "Come on, babe, let's go in." *** "April, wait," Logan managed to catch April's body; she struggled, wanting to escape from Logan's grip. "Why didn't you tell me, asshole." April hit Logan's chest and wept in Logan's arms. "Sorry, I didn't mean to hide this; sorry." Logan hugged April tightly, wanting to comfort her. After crying for a long time and Sean not showing up looking for her, April believes her love is just one-sided. The tightness came again. Her passion for Sean, decades old, had to wither before it grew. "Come on," Logan pulled April's hand after April let go of Logan's embrace. "No," April shook her head. "I don't want!" Logan, who understood April's wishes, immediately smiled and opened his car door. "Come with me, have fun forgetting your sadness." April didn't refuse; she kept quiet and got into Logan's car. After almost an hour of driving, Logan stopped the car. "Where is this?" April had just awakened from her daydream when Logan opened the car door for her. "Well, we're at the beach, the perfect place to vent all your worries." Logan reached out. April welcomed Logan's hand. They walked hand in hand on the beach; the gentle night breeze plus a clear sky with twinkling stars in the atmosphere should have made a beautiful moment for them, but April's heart was grieving, knowing the reality; all this time, Sean had a lover without her knowledge. "Put your feet up." "What is it?" April is confused by Logan's strange request. "Take off your shoes; walking barefoot on the beach like this is more fun." Logan showed his bare feet. "Hey, hey, wait," April winced as Logan tugged at her legs, then alternated the wedges between her legs. "How does it feel? It's fun, isn't it?" "Oh, it's cold," April shuddered, "I thought where you were taking me, it turned out to be a deserted beach like this." April pursed her lips. "Discotics, not the right place for you, hotel; you'll misunderstand me." Logan smiled. "I see," April let go of Logan's hand and looked out at sea. "Aaa…" Logan screamed. April turned around and blinked a few times. "Come on, shout it out; bring out your burden." April hesitated a second later, "Aaa.…." April screamed as loud as Logan did. *** Meanwhile, Marry looked disdainfully at Camila, who was clinging to Sean's arms at Johanson's residence. "Ehm, Mom, introduce Camila Meyer." Sean didn't dare admit Camila as his girlfriend, seeing the look in Marry's eyes filled with hatred. "Good night Mrs. Johanson; I'm Camila, a close friend of Sean." Camila greeted Marry politely, hoping to leave a good impression on their first meeting. "Oh, good night," Mary answered her coldly. "Come on, Mom, let's start the party." Sean broke the tension between his lover and mother. Marry sighed in disappointment, had it not been Sean's birthday, she would have kicked Camila out openly. Before Marry could approach the main table, April's mother, Shanon Adams, asked where April was. "Marry, sorry to interrupt for a second, you know, where is my daughter?" Shanon looked around. Marry had lost April, too; she had told her to come out to call Sean. "Sorry, Shanon, I didn't see it earlier either." Marry's lie. "Oh well, I'll look elsewhere; where is the girl? Since this morning, I can't see her whereabouts. " Shannon muttered. Marry immediately glanced at Sean with her death stare. Sean immediately knew the meaning of his mother's glance when chatting with Camila. "Sean," Mary moved her head for Sean to follow her. "Mom, what's wrong?" Sean approached. "Where's April?" "I don't know, Mom." Sean lied. "Earlier, Mommy told her to call you, and maybe she saw you making out with that bitch." "Mom, Camila ain't no b***h; she's my lover." Sean missed his speech because Marry insulted Camila. "Excuse me, lover? Look at her outfit; it's a birthday party, not a discotheque, and the dress only covers the chest and the feminine part. She thinks it's in the bedroom, so she wears a dress similar to lingerie?" Marry is not wrong; Camila is wearing a very sexy dress tonight, a red silky satin dress without sleeves with an open back; only a tiny rope is wrapped around the back of the neck to connect the thin cloth that covers her breasts with the length of the dress above her knees. It exposed her smooth body parts. Sean couldn't argue with Marry. Camila's outfit was indeed too vulgar, her performance tonight a bit sluty. "It's a shame; where would we put our faces if your Daddy's colleague finds out she's your lover." Marry scowled in annoyance. "Come on, let's start the party. After it's over, quickly sends the woman home. I don't want to see her in this house; next time, don't come to bring her back to this house. Oh yeah, where did Logan go? Why did he also disappear?" Sean immediately flinched, remembering Logan running after April. 'Could it be Logan who took April away from here?' Sean felt uneasy, thinking Logan would take April where she shouldn't be. Before he had time, Sean called Logan's cell phone to ask where he was; Camila had come and clung to him. "Hon, I don't like being alone at this party, don't linger; leave me." Camila half-whispered and pressed her body against Sean even more. "Sorry, babe." Sean grabbed Camila's hand. *** "It's late; you should rest first," Logan called April, still engrossed in playing with the seawater. "Wait a minute." Logan saw that April's tears were still streaming down her beautiful eyes. He should have been happy that April didn't stay away from him, but seeing the woman he admired was fragile, his heart also felt pain. "April, what can make you smile? Tell me," Logan had already decided he would be happy if April were happy. Now he understands that love does not have to own her. Seeing the person we love to live happily is one of the true meanings of love. April blinked at Logan's words. She turned to look at Logan, who was beside her. "Logan…." "Is it Sean? Is it Sean who can make you smile?" "Logan, no, Sean already has a girlfriend. I don't think it's a good idea to bother him." April knew Logan liked her; she didn't like it if she had to involve Logan in her love affair with Sean. "I'll help you win Sean's heart."
