Dominic:
I watched as the woman who was laying on my bed wrapped the blanket around herself. She was wide awake, I knew that, but I knew not to approach her, I didn’t want to speak to her.
I looked down at the papers that I had in front f me. I was more than a little tempted to leave the room, but knowing that I would need to face my now raging mother, I knew not to do so.
I got up from my chair and walked out to the veranda, lighting a cigarette as I sat on the couch that I had there, the couch that I used to sit on with my mate for hours, watching the night sky. It was full of stars and the moon, though not a full one, was brighter than it has been for a while.
I blew the smoke only to turn around when Liana opened the door, walking out with me. She didn’t say a word, instead, she just wrapped the same blanket around my shoulders. “You told me that it was a cold night, I don’t think that you staying out here when it grew colder is a better idea than me sitting out in the front porch.”
“What are you doing, Liana?” I asked, looking down at the blanket.
“I would have asked the same question when you didn’t. I chose not to.” She said, looking up at the sky. “You have a lovely view. Enjoy it.”
“Better than the anthill that you spent hours watching.” I said, making her laugh. “Thank you,”
“You’re welcome.” She said, walking back inside the room, leaving me alone. I ran my finger over the blanket for a second, shaking my head as I got up, leaving it on the couch.
I put the cigarette on the ashtray before standing by the railing, clenching my fists as I got lost in my thoughts.
“What are you doing, Dominic?” The question has been running through my mind since I signed the paper, the paper that made me her husband, before giving it to Cosimo to show to her. I didn’t think that she would be singing her part. I thought that Cosimo would come back with the paper in hand, I hoped that she wouldn’t be coming with him; I was surprised to see her in the house when I walked inside.
“More importantly, how the hell are you going to deal with all of this from here…?”

I woke up to the sun hitting my face.
I frowned in confusion when I saw that I slept on the couch out on the veranda. And getting up, I pinched the bridge of my nose, taking a deep breath as I did, the morning air coming as refreshing to me.
I got up and walked inside, and though I expected her to be sleeping on the bed, I was taken back by the fact that she had dozed off on the floor in front of the bed. She was sitting, her arms wrapped around her knees as she sat, curled up on the floor, and her head was on her arms as a child would have hers when she tried to hide from the world.
“You don’t need to stare at me like that, I am wide awake,” she said, and I rolled my eyes, taking a step back. “The main question is, why did you choose to sleep outside when you have your bed…?”
“I doubt that you would expect me to allow you to start questioning me, right?” I asked, stopping her.
“Calm your balls, I was being genuine with the question.” She said, rolling her eyes. “I am going to my room, thank you for allowing me to sleep in your room.”
“You were on the floor all night,” I said, and she sighed, looking away from me. “There was a reason why I left the room…”
“I wasn’t going to sleep on YOUR bed while you sat on the couch all night.” She said, stopping me. “Excuse me, I am going to freshen up for the day. Excuse me.”
She walked out of the room, and I looked away before glaring at the pillows that were on the bed. I pulled the sheets from my bed, throwing them on the floor, wanting anything but to have her scent in my rom to begin with. My heart raced and looking myself in the mirror, I frowned when I saw my eyes glowing as my wolf made himself known. My heart ached and I ran my fingers through my hair, pulling on my roots as I grew angrier.
“Is this how it’s going to be every day and night, Dominic?” I muttered to myself, glaring at the mirror. “IS THIS HOW IT’S f*****g GOING TO BE?”
I punched the mirror, breaking it just as the door opened, revealing Liana whose eyes widened in surprise. She didn’t scream nor did she make a sound as she walked inside.
“Leave,” I said, turning around, not caring as my hands bled from the broken glass. She didn’t. “I said f*****g LEAVE!”
I turned to face her and she took both my hands in hers, stopping me from doing anything before I watched her removing one shard of glass from my right hand. “Leave, Liana.”
“I will,” she said, not bothering to look up at me. “After we get these cuts cleaned and I get this glass removed, I will…”
