By the time we pulled into the driveway, I was just about ready to explode. I’d kept in all words and sounds, but it had been a challenge. The anticipation was unbearable. I wanted Holden desperately, and I didn’t care what he did to me. I was vaguely aware that I was already sinking into subspace, certainly not all the way there but starting to feel a little floaty on the edges.
Holden smirked, like he knew exactly what was going on. I was sure he did. I blinked at him and he gave me a look that was positively wicked. He got out of the truck, but I didn’t move. He hadn’t told me to, and I would obey his every command.
