My Warrior

**GAVIN’S POV**

Stella looked so incredibly peaceful when she fell asleep in my arms. I carried her up to her bedroom and tucked her in. I sat and watched her sleep for a couple hours before I decided to head to Trevor’s. I decided to write a note so I didn’t disturb her sleep. I kissed her on the forehead before slipping out of the door. The rest of the house was still sleeping so it was easy to leave undetected. I didn’t want to get stopped by her three brothers, they probably wouldn’t have let me leave. I couldn’t stop thinking about Stella, her laugh, her smile, the way she gets excited about certain things. I had no doubt that she would be the mother of my pups. I wanted to marry her as soon as possible, that is if she wanted me. I decided that I definitely needed to talk to Alpha before anything else happened. I’ll touch base with Stella in the morning.

My phone buzzed around 9 that morning, it was my goddess. We made plans to meet up for a run at 10, that would be perfect, I could sneak over before Stella knew I was there and ask her father’s permission. I wanted to dress a little bit more presentable for when I met the Alpha so I grabbed my gym bag so I could change later on. I got up off the pull out couch and headed to the bathroom to get ready.

I got to the pack house around 9:30 and headed straight to Alpha’s office. I spoke to one of his guards before heading over. Apparently Alpha Steven and my father go way back, they were roommates at boarding school throughout their teens. There were inseparable for most of their lives. When my grandfather stepped down my dad took over as Alpha, they had to move the Silver Moon Pack into different territory, leaving their friendship in shambles. Many years and pups later, the two men were finally able to mend their relationship. Being three hours away from each other was hard, but they made it work. I remember being small when Alpha Steven came to visit our pack. It had been so long since he saw me last, I guess he didn't put two and two together until that morning. Luna Marcy had clued him into who I was. She told him that Stella had been matched with the new Alpha from Silver Moon.

I took a deep breath before knocking. "Come in!"

I walked into Alpha’s office and was offered a seat on the other side of his desk. Alpha placed his elbows on the desk top and intertwined his fingers. “So I hear that you and my daughter hit it off quite well last night, is this true?” I nodded my head.

“Yes sir, we have accepted each other as our mates, your daughter is incredible sir. I would like to ask permission to take her home with me next month and officially make her my Luna.” Alpha had a serious look on his face, before breaking down the facade with extreme happiness. He slapped his hands down on his desk before popping up from his chair. He came around and shook my hand, “I would be honored to have you as my son in law. I have always admired your father, I know that he raised a fine son. Have you discussed this with Stella?” I shook my head, “Not yet sir, I wanted to be sure to get your permission before I took her away from her family.” Alpha nodded along in agreement until I saw another idea pop into his head. His eyes glazed over for a brief moment, he was linking someone. Within seconds, lavender and honey filled the air and I turned around to see my goddess standing in the door way of her father’s office. I looked her up and down, she looked so incredibly sexy in her orange spandex workout gear. I could tell she wasn’t wearing any panties, I would love to rip those shorts clean off of her body and take her right here in this office. Focus Gavin, for the love of God, her father’s standing right there.

Stella was surprised to find me in her father’s office.I stood when she entered. She galloped over to me and threw her arms around my neck as I leaned down to give her a kiss.

I sat back down in the chair pulling Stella with me. She curled up in my lap. I wrapped my arms around her waist and rested my hands on her perfect, cream colored thighs. I could feel her warmth between her legs, oh what I thought about doing to her. I had to focus, she was in here for a reason. I’m assuming Alpha wanted to talk things through and plan for our departure at the end of the month. I leaned up to Stella’s ear before Alpha began, “We just have to talk about a few things my love and then we’ll go for our run.” I kissed her behind the ear and I could see the goosebumps spread across her skin. Alpha cleared his throat and recaptured our focus.

“Stella, I called you in here because Gavin here has asked for my permission to officially be your mate. He would like to take you home to your new pack at the end of the month. You would be leaving us and would travel to new home and become Luna of the Silver Moon pack. I want to make sure that before we decide anything that you are aware of the changes that will take place.” Stella stood up from my lap and took a deep breath.

“Alpha, I am fully prepare for these changes. I am extremely excited about being with my mate.” She looked over at me with that amazing smile of hers before turning back to her father. “I do agree with the 30 day timeline. I would like to spend some more time with my brothers seeing as I just got back. Especially since I hear that Alex has also found his mate as well. We won’t be all together for long. When the time is right, we will eventually all move away from each other. I would like to cherish as many memories as possible, while given the chance.” I stared at Stella in amazement, my hunch was absolutely correct. The way she carries herself, her sense of confidence when she speaks. She will be my Luna and she will be damn good at it. Now all I have to do is mark her and make her officially mine.

**STELLA’S POV**

We left dad’s office holding hands. It felt like I was holding a firework in my palm. His touch was creating sparks on my skin. We walked through the clearing to the edge of the tree line. I looked at him with a sparkle in my eyes, “wolf or human?” He looked at me with a smirk painted across his lips. After a long pause he looked me up and down and licked his lips, “dealers choice baby, what ever you want.” I decided to keep in human form, if we were going to run I might as well challenge myself and make it a work out. I looked at him and waved my hand along my body like Vanna White. I heard Scarlet howl in my head. “Are you ready to eat my dust?” I saw a wicked smile flicker across his face, s**t, wrong choice of words. I’m sure he would eat anything that I asked him to. I decided to take off running, if he caught me, I knew that we would be doing another form of cardio.

I made my limbs move as fast as they could, I was swinging my arms in full force as we ripped through the trees. Gavin was still trailing behind a bit, I think he wanted to make sure that I won. On the 5th mile marker I stopped suddenly in my tracks causing Gavin nearly run into me, he clearly wasn’t paying attention. I focused straight ahead and heard Scarlet growl. I froze for a fraction of a second before I made us shift. I dug my paws into the fresh dirt and let out a howl followed by a deep growl. I felt Gavin shift beside me, he circled in front of me in a protective stance. I scanned in front of me and counted. 1.2.3.4.5. There were 5 rogues standing in front of us, clearing they’re lost because they wouldn’t dare trespass on our territory. I could see the center wolf lick is chops taking me in, gross, I wanted to puke. His eyes were so creepy, they were bright red almost like blood.

I let out a loud growl but they stood their ground. They were less that 15 ft from us. It was clear that they weren’t going to leave on their own, I clearly had to escort them out. I took a small step forward passed Gavin who shot me a look. I prepared to lunge my body and show my mate what I was really made of. Scarlet was on the defense hardcore.

Come girl, let’s get these fuckers!

She howled and I knew it was time. I pushed off the ground with my hind legs and flew through the air.

**GAVIN’S POV**

I was close behind her, we were almost at 5 miles when she stopped dead in her tracks. I was about to wrap her in my arms and do some unspeakable things when I noticed why she stopped in the first place. In front of us were 5 rogues, clearly in the wrong territory. I saw that Stella was now Scarlet. I shifted and walked up in front of her protectively. I saw the middle wolf lick his lips at me goddess, I let out an aggressive growl. Stella took a step forward and pushed me out of the way, not before I gave her a warning glance. Suddenly Scarlet lunged herself towards these fuckers.

I watched in amazement as Stella took on 5 rogues at once. She was leaping and bounding between them all, making quick work with her kills. None of the rogues were able to touch her, she was too quick on her feet. She took down 4 of them without breaking a sweat. Somehow one of them got away and ran further into the woods.

Peter had witnessed what just happened.

What. In. The. Actual. f**k. Was that! Gavin, I think we’ve met our match.

**STELLA’S POV**

I knew Gavin was scared for me and he wanted to protect me but the truth is, I don’t need protecting. I was able to take down four of them, I was annoyed when I saw that one had disappeared, he must have gotten away in all the chaos. I shook it off, I would get him eventually. I wish that my brother’s could seen me, I didn't even break a sweat.

I trotted back over to Gavin and rubbed up against his muzzle. I had such a streak of confidence that I decided that I wanted to shift in front of him. I wanted him to see me, really see me. I wanted him to touch me, I wanted to feel his body against mine.

I stepped back and took control over from Scarlet. I felt my bones pop back and shift into the rightful place. I wiggled my toes in the dirt under my feet and looked down to see if anything was broken. I made eye contact with Gavin and pulled my hair to one side and played with the ends. Gavin sunk slowly to the ground and bowed to me. I walked towards him and ran my hand up and down his snout and he closed his eyes. I lifted his head and looked at me, his eyes were completely black with lust, I leaned towards his ear, “Why don’t you shift back too, I would love to hear what you think.” I whispered. Peter took a few steps back and shifted, bringing Gavin back to me.

**GAVIN’S POV**

Within seconds, I shifted back and had my hands on her naked body. I wanted to touch every inch of her. My hands started in her hair and moved down to her breasts. **STELLA’S POV**

The events of this afternoon exhausted me. Gavin would not let up until I was limp in his arms. It was pure ecstasy being with him. I couldn’t get enough of his scent, his fingers , or his kissable lips. I was so close to given in and letting him penetrate me, I think he knew I wasn’t ready so he substituted his fingers instead. “Come in!” I poked my head in to make sure dad wasn’t in the middle of something. “Come in princess, I’m not doing anything important.” I side swept the door and stepped in his office. I took a seat in one of the overstuffed leather chairs across from him and folded my hands in my lap. Dad finished jotting down a final thought and then turned his attention on me, “Is everything alright princess?” He had a sense of concern to his voice. I nodded shyly before I began.

“I wanted to tell you about something that happened today while Gavin and I were on a run.” I told dad about the 5 rouges and how I fought them off by myself, I explained that I didn’t give Gavin a chance to step in and help. I told him that one managed to get away, but I knew which one it was so I would know who he was when I encountered him next.

His facial expressions changed as I continued on with the story. I told him that this wouldn’t be the end of things. Rogues were like cockroaches, where there was one there were bound to be 20 more. He didn’t seem too upset that I handled it on my own.

“While I’m glad that you weren’t harmed, you know that you shouldn’t do anything reckless like that. You are soon to be Luna of a very strong pack, what would have happened if something terrible came out of this afternoon. I’m so proud of the warrior that you are, I’m just afraid that you may not get the same outcome if something like this happens again.” He was glaring at me with a stern eyes, I bowed my head, “I know dad, I’m sorry. I do know that if something were to go south that Gavin would have stepped in immediately.” he shook his head in agreement.

“I do think that you have found an incredible mate princess, I can see that he cares very deeply for you, I am confident that we would protect you with his own life.”

As I would for him.

Dad and I had a good conversation on my future responsibilities, putting my mind at ease. I was going to miss these talks so much, we would be able to talk on the phone but it wouldn't be the same.

“I have no doubt that you will be an incredible Luna princess. I think that you’ll fit in beautifully. The Goddess has such great plans for you, I think that it was part of your destiny to be leading a warrior pack such a Silver Moon. As sad as I will be to see you leave, I have confidence that you will do great things.” I pushed myself out of the arm chair and walked over to give him a big hug and a kiss. “I love you dad.”

“I love you princess. Now go help your mother with dinner before she blows a gasket.” I giggled and blew dad a kiss before leaving the room.

I checked in with the kitchen, Lottie told me that she had everything under control. I decided to talk a short walk around the grounds. After about 20 minutes I found myself standing in front of the tree house. I slipped off my flip flops and threw them up top so they would be waiting for me once I got up there.

I climbed the ladder slowly, my muscles were still a little sore from this afternoon. I leaned against one side of the door way, letting my feet dangle from the edge. I started fidgeting with my nails running through everything that happened today. I started to feel bad about not letting Gavin help with the rogues, I didn’t want him to think that I was trying to emasculate him. I wanted to clear things up with him and make sure he really knew what he was getting into with a girl like me. I didn’t play the damsel in distress, I was the one that fought and defended. I know how to take care of myself, I wanted to tell him that for a long time I didn’t even picture myself with a mate. I would have been content with being alone for the rest of my life. I looked up at the sun, it was just about to disappear behind the ridge. The stars above started to pop out one by one as the sky became streaked with pink, orange, and purple. It looked like a beautiful water color painting. I was getting lost in it’s beauty, I didn’t even notice that Gavin was trying to get my attention from the ground, “Stella! Are you okay babe?” I leaned over a bit and smiled down to him, “I’m fine Gavin, are you coming up or am I going down?” I saw a wicked smile spread across his lips. Damn it! Again with the bad word choice.

Gavin joined me up in the tree house. He was sitting opposite of me with my feet in his lap. He was subconsciously massaging my feet as I explained to him why I wasn’t a normal mate. He nodded along as I continued to tell him how unique I was and that I don’t like to conform to anyone’s opinions or perceptions of what other people thought I should be. Gavin scooted closer to me and pulled me into his lap. I rested my head on his chest and he kissed my forehead, “I know that this is new to both of us, there are going to be some learning curves as we navigate these waters. I knew that you were different the moment I laid eyes on you. I want you to be yourself. I love seeing the glimmer of sarcasm, you have such a zest for life while maintaining your touch facade. I felt your walls crumble when I first touched your skin. Just know that I love you unconditionally, no matter what you say or do, you will never persuade me otherwise.” I gave a small nod as Gavin slowly rocked me back and forth. I looked up at him, “Will you stay with me tonight?” Gavin placed this pointer finger under my chin and lifted my lips to his, “There’s no place that I would rather be.”
