C003 EMAIL AND PRINTOUTS ?!?!? Reduce Casualties Some More ?!?!?

The captains had issued their mugs, plates, bowls, utensils and soft woollen blankets to the adventurers. Before the new hearth is ready to be occupied, a hearth inspector from the Sheriff's Office of Nottingham came and made sure its safe for occupancy before he lets 40 adventurers occupy the 2nd floor while the rest on the ground floor. He issued a certificate and it was pasted on the front open doorway.

The hearth was very sturdy, and no creaks were heard when it was being occupied by 80 adventurers for the night. Will.I.Am informed his two assistants to clean and pack the encampment as this should be done daily and automatically.

"Boss, all the 80 adventurers had turned in for the night. There are 2 rooms that are being allocated for us that separates the male and female situated on the ground floor. How shall we make the arrangements for the dwarves later on?"

"Need not worry, Will has made a small post box and erected it at the Stanspar area. It's a small red box and also the post is in white. That post box is where the dwarves will deposit their pouches every evening."

"There's also a small table there where we could place their breakfast and dinner in tiffin containers. From this moment, for their safety, we have to limit our communication with them. I hope they understand this situation."

"Yes, we do...!" an answer was heard as they replied in unison from the offscreen area where the dwarves had shared a trailer and were smoking and having some beer while a few of them were playing poker and the rest all lazing around in their lounge chairs outdoors.

"Well, at least they understood," I said to Jean Lethal as he was fiddling with the scale models of the battlefield for Scarthingwell and Barkston Ash that he and Will.I.Am made to plan for the battle ahead. It was like a minimap and suddenly there were plastic models of tanks, artillery, armed soldiers, Humvees, APC, drones, UAV, Apaches, Chinooks.

Both of them were playing a modern battlefield on it complete with animated sounds from their mouths as bombardments from the artillery hit the far end of the minimap with cotton wool representing wisps of smoke, complete with toy soldiers that were laying all over the place.

"Hoy...clear those up, if you leave them tomorrow, the adventurers would think we would be engaging in modern warfare. They throw their medieval weapons for hot weapons anytime, I tell you."

Jean Lethal and Will.I.Am grinned widely and cleared the place up. There were several boxes of toothpicks and they made miniature punji stick spring traps and placed it along a straight line at interval locations after the next. It was a suggestion and had not been confirmed.

"JL, do you have any updates when the next attack would be and at which town as well as the direction where they are coming in from?"

"It would on Barkston Ash on 4 days time around 8 pm. The Marauder Chief Orc and the Skeleton King had sent their emails to the chief village and they acknowledged the date and time of the attack. The residents were being notified to clear away from the area to minimise human casualties and both the Marauder Chief Orcs and Skeleton King had given their numbers of army and reinforcements as well."

"Boss, here's the copy of the email they had printed out and also had its attention to the defenders of the village as well. So the casualties would only be limited to those involved in defending the lines."

"EMAIL AND PRINTOUTS?!?!" I raised my voice as technology is way catching up in this medieval era as I snatched the printout and read the contents. The Skeleton King will deploy 100 Soldier Skeleton, 50 Nimble Skeleton, 10 Fiery Skeleton, 10 Frost Skeleton and 10 Lightning Skeleton as well the Skeleton King himself.

The Marauder Chief Orcs would be sending 20 Armageddon Bishop, 20 Weaver, 20 Venom Champion, 20 Cataclysmic Warmaster, 20 Rotten Dancer and 20 Pyro Witch plus the 3 Healers and the Marauder Chief Orc himself.

A total of 300 enemies would be confronting the NVA that would be at 80+ strong. This is totally one-sided and where in the world would a fancy pants English medieval fantasy game be so simple...?!?

The next day, I called for Stef and Jean Lethal to summon the sergeants for the Archers and Amazonia Female Fighters to come forth so we need to discuss something.

"Alright, the battle on the grounds of Barkston Ash would commence at 8 pm in 4 days time. Here's the statistics of the coming battle and this battle will be called 'The War of the Scorching Lands'."

"We would be greatly outnumbered but we need you to support for the ranges attacks especially towards the Undead Skeleton Forces. How good are your members at 500-meter range towards a fast-moving target?"

"Leader, we would have no problem if we take on fast-moving targets if they are heading straight at us. The Skeleton King is about 12 to 15 feet in height and its an easy target since they all would be coming from a clearing."

"Kufanele ungidlale ukuthi ngithumele amasosha ami ukuthi ayokufa empini eyandulela leyo." replied the sergeant for the Amazonian Female Fighter.

"Help....!!! I need a translator here..." I hollered and an on-screen crew came over and the Amazonian Female Fighter repeated her answer.

"She said 'Ok, No problem.'..." and the translator moved back offscreen.

"Whaaaatttt...?!?! She replied with so many words in a sentence from her language and it meant only 3 simple words in ENGLISH...?!?! No wonder her tribe went EXTINCT..!!!"

"I will imbue some magic arrows for both of you and this meant only for the non-magical skeletons. Remember...its for the normal bony S-K-E-L-E-T-O-N-S only. Those arrows would be marked with red dye at the nook so you should be able to differentiate which ones to use against which enemies."

"Another set is to target the frost and lightning skeletons with arrows marked in yellow dye at the nook. You'd get 50 arrows each per quiver and you would have 3 quivers altogether. Keep the balance and let me know if you're running short. Tomorrow, please purchase blunt arrowheads for this purpose."

"Blunt arrowheads without the tips, Leader? Are you sure about this, it would not even hurt a rabbit at a 3-meter distance at all." said the Sergeant of the Archers.

"You heard me right, young Archer. Blunt arrowheads to defeat the skeletons. Alright, I would need to see those Druids, Mages and Necromancer. Would there be any questions?"

"No, leader...that would be all."

"Ngabe usunayo i-gruel ophekwa ngumfundi wakho opheka manje? Ngisalamba."

"Translator...!!!" and once again the offscreen crew approached me and helped with the translation.

"She said 'Understood'..." replied the translator and slinked away back offscreen.

"Whhaaaaattttttt...?!?! They are better off learning English and drop their language totally."

Matilda and Stef were rolling on the grass laughing hysterically at me since I never grasp what the hell the Amazonian Female Fighter was talking about. Hahahahhahaha

We had discussed the strategy with the Druids, Mages and Necromancer and they seemed to agree with the plans of them flanking on the sides, well hidden from any direct line of sight from the Skeletons and Orcs. These would be the support line that would enable to suppress a series of bombardment towers the incoming horses of those demons.

The Barbarians and Swordsman would be taking up the frontline, yes the 20 of them and it looks like suicide to them if not for the support of the Archers and Amazonian Fighters from their rear at 500 meters away. Since the Skeletons and Orcs would be appearing from a teleportal stone, the Barbarians and Swordsman would be well protected from the first line of the defence, the spring up punji stick devices.

The main role for these Barbarians and Swordsman would be to lure them towards the town, as normally what they would so in the past few weeks. Since the path of the town was littered with the spring up punji stick devices, their advances would be slowed down tremendously.

As for the 4 of us, we would be together with the Barbarians and Swordsman to finish off those Skeletons and Orcs that might have gotten through those defence lines. Last but not least the Assassins. The important part of deploying their martial arts, hiding capabilities in their surprise attacks right at the heart of the battlefield.

"Leader, we would be able to chop down those barrage of Skeletons and Orcs right, while the Druids, Necromancer and Mages would be summoning their powers from the flank. Would it look dangerous to us?"

"It sure looks dangerous, but we would always be with you at the front line. It would look rather intimidating to the Skeletons and Orcs as there would only be 24 of us at the front line. We would make an impression that we would just be that paltry amount to battle against 300 of the incoming horde."

"What if there are heavy casualties?"

I held up my sword and after imbuing it with Kamehameha, it shone brightly with fiery red flames and with a single swing, a large after image came out from Heaven and Earth Splitting Divine Sword and it hit a few trees in front of us and it burst into flames and turned to dust thereafter.

"These are what I'm going to imbue into your weapons, we would be fighting them sorcery this time and lay down your weapons so that I would imbue them today and you could try out on some monsters tomorrow."

"We have also imbued the arrows for the Archers and Amazonia to hit those Frost and Lightning Skeletons, and another type of sorcery to hit the fast-moving skeletons and normal skeleton soldier."

"If an undead were to be given life, would it be a reverse effect for them? Likewise, us humans, the opposite of life is death. The special arrows would give life to the undead and they would be dead in the process."

"The assassins would take action once they see the Marauder Chief Orc and the 3 healers and from there they would reveal themselves from the hidden floor and attack only those 4. This would be the last attack sequence even though they are well in front of the enemy lines."

"Bring down the Healers and the Marauder Chief Orc would be defenceless and once they had been brought down, the Assassins would deploy a smoke bomb and smoke the whole place up while the Druids, Mages and Necromancers would concentrate their firepower there."

"Seems like a feasible idea to us. Prior to the attacks, we would consume the Super Enhanced Ginseng Hee Ling Pills and stacked them in 10s, am I right, Leader?"

"That's right, our pills are stackable and that's the wonderful part of it. Take 20 pills at one shot and it would continually heal you until the duration is over."

"Remember, everyone, don't forget to put on our shield badge that had been socketed with 5 diamonds on your chest. It will give you an additional +170 on all Damages, +40 Resistance and +200 Attack on top of what you already have right now."

Later 20 sets of quivers with 50 arrows were imbued with Kamehameha Energy and another 20 sets of quivers with 50 arrows each were imbued with Psi Healing Energy to especially attack these Soldier Skeletons and Nimble Skeletons.

20 swords and broad swords from Barbarians and Swordsman were all imbued with Kamehameha energy and all had fiery swirls when they were unsheathed from their scabbard.

The next day after breakfast, after gathering a few hundred bamboo poles for Will.I.Am, Alleicea and Aventina to prepare the stripping down of the bamboo, everyone gathered and we practised dry runs on the plains of the grounds near us.

We practised till late afternoon until everything is perfect and when we finally gave it a rest, we were satisfied and were pumped with adrenalin and confidence that a small army of 80 adventurers like NVA would be able to defeat 200% more enemies and at levels, they could only imagine in their minds.
