Chapter 1.4 Shen Qi

The night was young and the air cold, Shen Qi was only wearing thin fabrics that could not protect her from the cold air as she leisurely strolled towards the garden to take a breather.

On the way back, the sleepiness in her had long wore off so instead she decided to go to the garden to take a walk and then go back when she got tired.

"Who could this lady be?" Hearing the familiar voice, Shen Qi forced a smile before looking back.

The night was supposed to be peaceful but it looks like blood is about to be shed.

The garden is pretty much a cursed place where you can easily meet your enemies, that's a golden rule!

"This Princess thought that the voice was familiar, it was General Li after all."

"You know me? Have we met before?" General Li was surprised when the lady before him uttered his name and could not help but ask.

"Who would not know of the famed young genius General Li who fought with the invaders in a losing battle but then managed to turn the tides in his favor instead and won the battle. Even this Princess is impressed with General Li's ability." Shen Qi beautifully smiled.

Shen Qi’s smile was like that of a flower blossoming, beautiful and tempting, it caused the heart of the General to skip a beat.

"I did not know that my name would even reach to the Princess ears, this one is humbled." General Li politely smiled.

"You’re too humble General." Shen Qi said amaze of this person's personality. "It is late now, this Princess will be going first."

Shen Qi courtesies like the graceful “Princess” she was when, at the corner of her eyes she saw something that made her secretly smirk.

"Then Princess should be care--watch out!" General Li shouted.

“Ah!” Shen Qi yelped falling into the General’s strong arms.

Hugging each other in an intimate manner, when General Li caught Shen Qi in his arms, the two’s eyes lock into each other. There seemed to be some sort of spark between the two of them.

The two of them were in a very compromising position, her holding his robes tightly as he embrace her tightly. If someone where to see the two of them they surely will misunderstood.

The General who was holding Shen Qi tightly in his embrace gulped, looking close at Shen Qi’s beautiful face could really make someone lose their mind. Even the ML was caught in the moment as he stare her in the eye, eyes that were shining like the stars.

Shen Qi who was in his arms playfully pulled her body closer to the General, albeit secretly. She was laughing herself off as she watch the approaching figure.

Like a scene from a drama, General Li who was mesmerized by the beauty’s beauty slowly leaned over. Until…..

"What are you doing you sl*t!" A woman in white dress pulled General Li back which snap him back from reality.

"Feng'er.…" General Li looked at his fiancee a little bit awkward. Like a wife being caught by her husband cheating.

"You, I only left for a minute and now I see you hugging another woman!" Feng An yelled. She looked at Shen Qi with an ugly frown and went forward to slap her.

*Pak*

"What do you think your doing?" A man in black robes appeared out of nowhere, he slap Feng An’s approaching hand away.

Shen Qi who was about to avoid Feng An’s attack was suddenly pulled into a strong embrace. She was shock and immediately looked up, her eyes met with the most beautiful eyes that she had ever seen in her entire life. Sparks flew in the air.

Even if the man behind her were to turn into ashes she will still recognize that face anywhere or ashes, he is none other than Mu Xuan.

Mu Xuan better known as the stories villain. It was not known in the story why Mu Xuan kept on going against the leads, he neither hate the ML or love the FL so there should be no reason for him to fight with them but that's what he keeps on doing in the novel. Whatever the FL planned on doing, he will always counter it with a plan. You will really get confused why he keep on doing it even after his death. Him going against the leads is really confusing that you will keep on racking your brain left and right just to know how he truly feel but in the end even after his death, no one knew the reason why he keep on going against the leads.

Looking at the man standing in front of her, Shen Qi could not help but secretly smile.

Mu Xuan who was standing in front of Shen Qi was pretty much livid when he saw a lowly dog trying to hurt “his” Princess. His eyes were so cold and biting that he look like he was about to kill someone.

Mu Xuan was actually there all along, hiding. When Shen Qi went out of the Royal Hall, Mu Xuan also followed after her to see if she had safely gone back.

But, he did not expect for her to meet General Li and even talked with him.

He knew that Shen Qi likes the “little” General, even though he is away from home he was always being updated about his brothers and sister so he pretty much knew what was going on even though it's been a long time already since he left home.

He gritted his teeth when he saw his 'sister' being embraced by a stranger that he even had the urge to go and beat that scum for laying a hand on his little 'sister'. But despite how angry he was he kept his calm since he knew he could not just yet reveal himself to her, he knew she was still angry at him about what happened 5 years ago. She did not even participated in the welcoming parade he had this morning so definitely, she is still angry!!

But when a w***e tried to hurt his 'sister', he could not hold it in and pulled her into his embrace to protect her from harm!

"I said, what do you think your doing?!"
