Chapter 1.3 Shen Qi

After the Second Prince left that day, he really did as he promised and told the others about the good news and he also did not forget to send a letter to Mu Xuan but did not say anything about his agreement to Shen Qi. He only told him to bring his ass back to the Kingdom and nothing more since the brothers wanted to surprise him.

But of course he knew Mu Xuan, he is stubborn and won't simply just come back home if told to do so, so the Second Prince especially asked for an Imperial edict from his First Brother, the current Emperor. Now, Mu Xuan had no way out but to come back immediately even if he does not want to.

On Shen Qi's side, after the Second Prince left her residence she spent her time thinking about the new clues that she found and spend time piecing it together. She was not dumb so even though a few pieces were still missing, she already had an idea to what was happening. It was still a guess so she can't completely say it's true so she can only wait and see as to what will happen when that person comes, Mu Xuan!

"Princess, are you ready for tonight?" Little Yu asked excited.

"Wha?" Shen Qi snapped out from her daze. "Tonight? What's going to happen tonight?" Shen Qi asked confused. She was not listening to Little Yu so she was clueless about what she is asking about.

"Princess, don’t tell me you forgot about the celebration tonight?"

Now that she thought about it, her Second Brother did tell her three days ago that there will be a welcoming celebration in honor of Mu Xuan who successfully defeated the invaders in the battle 2 months ago.

"Wait, f*ck! I totally forgot, this morning... this morning I was suppose to attend the welcoming parade of the war heroes but I f*cking forgot! Sh*t! I was practically a dead log this morning, why did my brothers not wake me up! This is so frustrating, now it will be more awkward to meet him since I was totally MIA this morning!" Shen Qi wanted to cry but no tears would come out, she can only silently sigh and just put it all on fate.

The soldiers who also gained a lot of merit in the battle would also be rewarded by the Emperor tonight and most importantly, General Li who was the ML would also be there tonight since he is one of the Generals who had gained great merit in the battlefield.

So if the ML is going tonight then the FL would surely be also in the celebration tonight since "ML and FL are tied by fate" whatever.

"I've been thinking that it's been too peaceful all this time, I think that it should be time. Time to mess this story up to ruins!" Shen Qi's lips tug into a beautiful smile or more likely known as the Devil’s smile.

"Princess, you look so beautiful!!" Little Yu praised Shen Qi to the moon and back, Shen Qi looked rather ravishing that Little Yu who was helping Shen Qi doll up could not help but cover her nose as blood gush out from it.

Shen Qi on the other, Little Yu’s praised made her ego big.

‘I knew that I am beautiful, thank you! This body of hers was really a top notch beauty that could even cause a nations downfall but still this lady is not on par with her real face. She is more gorgeous than this white r****h!’

"Thank you, Little Yu. Let's go."

"I'm right behind you, Princess!" Little Yu said wiping the blood away from her nose.

Shen Qi walked from her courtyard to the palace, she was neither quick nor slow, she walked in her own pace. She was not that excited to meet the leads so no rush, instead she slowly familiarize herself with her surroundings and even sometimes stop and admire the flowers that were scattered all over the palace grounds. She did not care even if she was late, not even one bit.

Thinking about it now, ever since she first arrive here in her first world, she did nothing but laze around all day in her courtyard. She did not even bother to go out and explore, she only knew how to eat, drink and sleep and repeat. Thank goodness she did not turn into a pig or else just kill her already.

Looking at a red flower, her expression turned gentle remembering something in her past. Suddenly her eyes sharpened, she immediately looked back. She felt that there was someone watching her just now but when she looked back there was no one.

"Princess, is something wrong? Why are you sweating so much, here is a handkerchief for you to use to wipe your sweat Princess." Little Yu handed her a piece of white cloth.

"Its nothing, thank you Little Yu." Shen Qi accepted the cloth and wipe her sweat.

Shen Qi did not immediately retrieve her eyes but surveyed the surroundings once more but when she really saw no one she sighed and then left.

When Shen Qi was finally out of sight, a man in black robes came out behind a tree. His snow white hair danced in the air as his red ruby eyes stared fixedly at the direction where Shen Qi's figure just disappeared, after looking for quite some time he finally left his spot.

"Shen Qi, finally you came!" A voice suddenly appeared behind Shen Qi who then envelope her into a tight hug.

"Second Brother, Shen Qi is sorry for being late." Shen Qi also responded to the hug before letting go.

"Haha... No worries, everything is fine as long as you’re here. Come on everyone is waiting for you." The Second Prince dragged Shen Qi inside the hall where different kinds of high ranking people were gathered.

When they entered, all attention immediately went towards them. They stood frozen on their spot, not because of the Prince but because of the beautiful goddess who was walking beside him. Her beauty was so enchanting that the people inside the hall even forgot how to breath, even the battle worn soldiers gawk at the goddess.

Both man and woman stared fixedly at the pair, they were wondering what is the relationship between the two of them. The men could not help but be jealous of the Second Prince because of finding such a beauty and the women also could not help but get jealous when they see the most beautiful woman they had ever met in their entire life, some even bit their handkerchief because of grief and jealousy.

The crowd did not stop staring not even after the two people arrived in front of the Emperor, they all wanted to know who that woman is.

"Broth- I mean your Majesty, Shen Qi is finally here!" The Second Prince said.

"Shen Qi greets your Majesty, may your Majesty live tens of ten thousand of years." Shen Qi put her hands together as she greets the Emperor.

"Haha! Don't be too formal Shen'er, we are not used of you calling us 'your Majesty'. Just call us as how you call us normally, just call us brother. Haha!" The Emperor let out a laugh as he look at her filled with happiness.

The crowd were surprised when they saw their Emperor that was always aloof laugh ever so happily when he saw the beautiful goddess, but wait, call him "brother"?!

"But that's not proper, "brother"." Shen Qi said cheekily making the Emperor laugh in a good mood.

"Haha! Come, come, come sit with us! You cheeky brat! Haha!" The Emperor made a gesture and Shen Qi immediately complied and sat beside the Emperor, her brother.

Who cares if she sat beside the Emperor? He's her brother after all and who cares if she also use the Empress sit as her stool to sat on? It's not as if her brother Emperor has a wife!

We care!! The crowd was surprised when they saw how closed the goddess was to their Emperor, the Emperor even made her sit on the Empress sit and she did not even argue and sat on the throne like she owns it!

"Who's that girl?"

"How shameless could she be?"

"It's not like she's that beautiful to make the Emperor care for her so much!"

"Wah! She's so lucky sitting beside the Emperor!"

"I bet that she will become the next Empress, just look at how the Emperor treats her!"

Whisper and rumors started to fill in the hall which are both negative and positive, but one thing is for sure, Shen Qi is drowning on spit.

"Don't you know that, that woman is the Emperors favorite sister." It was unknown who said this words but because of this the tide had quickly changed.

"What, she's the Emperor’s sister?!"

"No wonder she's so beautiful, it runs in the family!"

"No wonder the Emperor treats her so well!"

"So they are siblings after all!"

Another round of whisper and rumor made its way around the crowd, the people who had bad mouthed Shen Qi decided to keep their mouth shut unless they don't need it anymore while the others gloated over others misfortune.

Shen Qi who heard the rumors did not care even one bit and only focused on her mission, and that is her target!

She had already noticed Mu Xuan earlier among the crowd and had already kept her eyes on him, even though she was watching the play in front of her she was actually watching the systems interface. She used the systems camera to spy on Mu Xuan who was also secretly spying over her, he would sometimes look at her secretly before looking away immediately. She had also noticed how Mu Xuan settled the rumors before just by that one sentence his subordinate said.

She laughed seeing how cute Mu Xuan looked while he secretly steal a glance at her.

"Shen'er, are you enjoying the play?" The Emperor saw how Shen Qi smiled and thought that she was enjoying the play. Honestly, he too was enjoying the play since it is a bit interesting and seeing her smile so sweetly made him so happy. He really dotes on this sister of his a lot!

"Hmm.. I really enjoyed it a lot, brother! It's such a nice play." Shen Qi praised.

Yes. It was pretty interesting and enjoyable, but not the play but Mu Xuan!!

"Is that so." The Emperor nodded satisfied with her answer "Come, reward this troupe 2 chest full of gold for their hard work!"

Hearing the Emperor's words, the crowd could not help but be surprised yet again. They did not know that with just a simple word from the goddess their Emperor would quickly reward 2 chest full of gold to the troupe. It looks like the Princess should be befriended after all!

The celebration took too long to end, Shen Qi did not stay any longer and immediately bid goodbye to the Emperor and her other brothers.

The Emperor was reluctant to let her go since he still wanted to spend time with his adorable little sister since they don't get the chance to meet more frequently with each other anymore since he became the Emperor. But looking at his sister's sleepy eyes he steeled his heart and reluctantly agree to her request.

Getting his First Brother’s permission, Shen Qi quickly escaped like her butt was on fire.

She did not stay there any longer since she was already so bored just sitting there all night doing nothing but watching different kinds of flirt, dancing who did nothing but to seduce her brother!

Shen Qi sighed in relief when she finally got out from that hell, she breath in the fresh air and did a stretch to relieve her sore muscles.

"Right, where did the two leads go? I did not see them inside." Shen Qi suddenly got enlightened and could only smacked her head for forgetting about the leads and even her own maid.

Who can blame her for being forgetful, it's not like those leads are so great to be remembered and besides she was too busy watching her target’s foolish actions.

She chuckled in amusement and then shook her head.

While Little Yu who was left behind cried blood when she notice that Shen Qi is no longer there. She was busy eating like a squirrel in a corner, Shen Qi let her eat, to notice her Princess’ disappearance.
