Chapter 6. Alpha Stanley's POV

After my beta left my office to carry out my task. I sped up with my work so that I will be done with it before my mate is done so that I wont keep her waiting.

Around 7:30 I mind linked my mates friend. Rebecca.

"Hi Rebecca” I called out to her through the mate bond.

"Good morning alpha” she greeted.

"Please have a cup of coffee sent to my mate" I ordered.

"Where Alpha,? "she asked.

” In my bedroom” I ordered.

” Please Alpha, how do I know your mate?" she asked confused.

”it's your friend "I answered.

" Elena? ” she asked surprised before she can even stop herself from asking.

"Yes Elena" I answered clearing her doubt.

At the thought of my mate , I can't stop the smile at the corner of my lips. I f*****g love her so much. Even when Ester picked on her at the dinning, I couldn't stop myself from protecting her. Because I felt an attraction to her that I haven't felt before. At the thought of Esther's behaviour towards my mate, I felt so much anger that I want to rip her apart. The slap that I told Joseph to give her doesn't quench my anger and I haven't seen Esther since then which am grateful about, because I don't want my mate finding out that am dating her which I will surely end immediately I see her or probably go and tell her. I can't risk my mate finding out or she will hate me for it. Knowing that I have a mate and still decided to keep my girlfriend.

"Ok Alpha. I will do that immediately " Rebecca answered bringing me out of my thought.

"Please before you serve the coffee bring it to my office " I added.

"Okay Alpha " she answered as I ended the mind link as I focused on the tasks at hand.

I sped up with my work and after some minutes a knock came to my door.

"Come in " I said ushering Rebecca in.

"Yes Alpha? "she answered while coming in to my office.

"Put this on the tray and serve it to my mate "I said, while handing a letter I wrote to her to pass to my mate.

"Ok Alpha "she answered as she did what I said before leaving my office.

After about 20 minutes, another knock came to my door and by the Scent I knew that it is one of the guards which I stationed in front of my room.

' Did anything happen to my mate?' I thought as I tensed up.

"Come in" I said looking up to know what happened.

"Alpha? " the guard greeted while bowing down in respect.

"What is the problem? "I asked.

" Alpha Miss Elena needs permission to go take her bath" he answered as I relaxed.

"Sure, why does she need permission to go take her bath?, She can take her bath " I said while waving at him for him to leave my office and go back to his work but he didn't leave or say anything.

I raised up my head and find him still standing.

"What's the problem?, Is anything the matter?" I asked looking at him to answer my question.

" Alpha, she wants to leave the room " he answered.

"Why? "I asked visibly angry.

'my mate is not going anywhere' I thought.

"She wants to return to her room and take her bath "he answered.

"She isn't allowed to leave the room without my permission" I answered.

" Tell her to use my bathroom" I added.

" Ok Alpha" He answered as he bowed down again.

" You can go back to your duty post " I said and continued with my work as he left my office.

I continued with my work after some minutes my office door was pushed open, but I didn't raise up my head to see who walked in as I knew who it was.

"Because that you are my friend, doesn't mean that you will just badge into my office like that without knocking on the door. This is an office dud. Don't forget that I am still your Alpha "I said before looking up to look at Robert. my beta.

"I am your friend. I will give you the respect of an Alpha if you are in an Alpha mode, but not now, because right about now, I'm a friend who is getting his best friend ready for a date " he answered with a cheeky smile on his face.

"Oh my goodness, I shouldn't have had a friend like you" I joke.

" What did you just say? "he asked.

"If I don't have a friend like you, I wouldn't have to remind you that you have to knock on the door before entering. "I answered.

" What if I am making out with my mate?" I asked.

" It haven't gotten to that bro" He answered.

" I will kill you the day you look at my mate. Friends or no friend. You are so useless" I answered.

" But you can't do anything without that useless friend. Hump..." he said while folding his arm in front of his chest.

" I can do everything without you" I answered.

" Fine then..., Forget about your date. Am out of here" He said leaving, heading towards the door.

"if you dare leave that door, I'm really gonna roast you alive" I said stopping him in his tracks.

"Now tell me, how is everything going? "I asked.

" I will tell you when you ask nicely" He said looking away from me.

"You know that I won't do that" I said.

"Yes you will" He answered.

" No I won't" I resorted.

" Maybe you will by the time you keep your mate waiting on your first date" He answered which which got me anxious.

" Alright fine. I...? ".

My words were cut short by the phone ringing on my table.

I picked it up while looking at the caller ID and found out that it is from Esther.
