CHAP 14 : MANIK & NANDANI COME CLOSER

Manik was woken up by the ringing of his phone. He went outside the room and received the call so that Nandani would not wake up. 

"Yes, tell me why did you call me so early in the morning?", asked Manik.

"Sir, you had asked me to give a reminder to you, that you are having a meeting with Mr. Khurrana", said the receptionist.

"Oh yes, Thank you Rose for the reminder , it slipped out of my mind", said Manik and hanged the call.

He went back to his room and sat on the bed. He kissed Nandani on her forehead and told, "Good Morning baby girl "

"Good Morning Manik", Nandani replied stretching her arms in the air and yawning.

"Slept well?", he asked.

"Yes", said Nandani with a bright smile.

"That's good. Go freshen up quickly and come downstairs for breakfast we are leaving for Pune", informed Manik

"Why?", asked Nandani cutely.

"I am having a meeting with Mr. Khurrana so you being my PA have to accompany me", said Manik.

"Okay", said Nandani. 

She went to freshen up and so did Manik in his room. Nandani wore a yellow crop top and black shorts. Manik was lost looking seeing her . Nandani snapped her fingers, and Manik came out of his dreamland. "Manik where are you lost?", asked Nandani

"In you? You are looking damn beautiful", said Manik starring at her

"I always look beautiful, maybe you noticed today", said Nandani smiling

Manan and Nandani than had their breakfast and left for Pune. They reached the hotel where Manik had his meeting. When Manik was discussing about the meeting, he saw Mr. Khurrana's bad gaze on Nandani due to which she was feeling uncomfortable. 

He told , "Mr. Khurrana she is Nandani  my PA and my girlfriend too"

"Oh!  okay lets continue with the meeting  Mr. Malhotra ", said Mr. Khurrana and they continued with the meeting.

Nandani smiled at Manik and thought, "Why do I feel good when Manik cares for me. He feels so jealous when someone puts his eyes over me. Why do I feel an inner peace in his arms? Have I fallen in Love with him?  No , I can't,  what if he leave me like Harshad did? "

Manik completed his meeting with Mr. Khurrana and Mr. Khurrana took a leave. Manik called out Nandani once but she didn't reply . He called her twice but to no avail. Nandani was lost in her thoughts. Manik shook her. Nandani came out of her thoughts.

Manik asked, "What are you thinking so deeply?"

"About you", Said Nandani. Manik smiled listening to Nandani,  while Nandani bit her tongue realizing what she had just said.

Manik asked smiling, "What were you thinking about me?"

"No--thing,  I--I didn't mean that-- I was think---thinking ", she stammered

"Yes tell me Nandani what were you thinking?", asked Manik coming closer to her.

"Yes I was thinking that where shall we stay, as I am very tired , I wanted to rest for some while", said Nandani covering up.

Manik smiled looking at her cuteness.
