I watched Javier sleep in the sun, I’d say he was tanning if I couldn’t hear the snoring, but he was sleep on his back and probably burning. I hated that I felt the need to go and spray some lotion on him, but for some reason it didn’t stop me from doing it.
I shook the bottle and pushed the button down when I got to his shoulders. I went side to side rather than up and down and I made sure that he was covered, I sprayed a little in my hands and dabbed slowly around his face, as soon as I got down past his forehead and on his nose his eyes open slowly, adjusting to the light before he let me finish. Once I was rubbing over his chin he grabbed at my wrist and pulled me until I was on top of him.
“You’re beautiful.”
“I know.” I told him and moved to get off of him and I felt his hands on my hips as he held me in place on top of and against him.
“I never wanted to leave you.” He told me and I sighed and looked out at the water. “I put you in danger that night thinking everything was just a rumor, it wasn’t and you could have gotten hurt.” He told me and I knew that was true, in his eyes at least.
There was no way I would have let that happen. “I know how to handle myself, as you saw the same night.” I told him and he ran his hand up my back as he sat up slowly.
“Doesn’t matter, I called you over thinking it would be fine and it wasn’t. I put you in danger-“
“Next you’re going to say you did it because you never want it to happen again.” I cut him off and he looked over my face and nodded.
“I never want anyone in danger because of me. That’s how my sister died, how my aunt died for my uncle… it’s wrong to have a woman die instead of a man.” He cut me off just before I was going to say it didn’t matter.
I had never met his sister in Hell, she must have still been a good girl. “I have my own issues, something that might mean you’re never going to see me again once I leave you.” I told him honestly and he looked concerned.
“Who is it?” He asked me and I almost just told him, blurted it out, as if he could be trusted with the truth.
“It’s complicated.” I told him and he tilted his head.
“You’re upset with me for leaving, yet you are doing the same, adding in the bonus of I’ll never see you again.” He bowed his head slightly and let out a chuckle, and I nodded knowing it was hypocritical.
“You could say it’s sort of an old boss, father figure, type thing that’s trying to track me down and bring me home.”
“Minerva-“
“Shhh.” I covered his mouth knowing the more he said my name the easier it would be to track me later. “Just don’t say my name. Call me anything but that name.”
“Like what?” He asked me and I shrugged and tried to get off his lap again but he clicked his tongue before flipping up so I was on the cushion under him. “I missed you.”
“Did you now? Which parts of me?” I asked ready to back him off of me for trying to change the subject to s*x.
“Your eyes. There is something in them that makes me feel like I don’t have to hide.”
“Hide?” I didn’t know what he meant by that.
“Yeah, like you know who and what I was from the moment you looked at me.” He told me and that was sort of true, I knew the look of him, gangster, mafia, rich, bad… I could practically smell ‘killer’ on him.
“You mean like you don’t have secrets from me?” I asked and he looked from my eyes to my nose to my mouth before nodding.
“Like I could never lie to you.” He whispered before leaning in against me. If he really felt that, already, then he was going to die and soon.
The pull of a demons t****l was for men and women who belonged in Hell, they couldn’t lie to us, the couldn’t hide their true selves or their fear from us. If he couldn’t do that now… he was close to death.
His lips touched mine slowly and I melted. He can’t die yet, we haven’t had all our fun. I relaxed against him, curling my legs around his hips and I kept him crushed against me until he pulled us both up and he walked carrying me into the boat.
He we deep into the inside, pushing open a room to step a few feet inside before dropping us down onto a bed.
My shorts and tank top were off as fast as his swim trunks were, and his body brought mine more pleasure than the last time we were together.
I used my hips when he let me get on top, swiveling and rocking against him, using the boat and the waves to make myself c*m faster than him.
He held me close between each time, and it was fantastic, it took more than a few hours to dock, and when we did I turned away from him to get out but he wrapped his arms around me and pulled me back into his chest.
“I have to go.”
“Let me take you, somewhere safe, on a deep vacation, nothing will happen to you if I’m with you.” He traced my rib cage as I turned to him and I sighed and looked at his face.
His brown eyes, dark lashes, thick lips and high cheekbones…he was a catch, and he wanted me?
“I can’t let you do that.” He didn’t know me, not the real me, and if I wanted him to back off, I would just have to show him the real me. “You don’t know what you’re offering to do.”
“I’m offering to help.” He told me and I nodded slowly and cupped his cheek.
“You’re offering to run from the devil himself.” He didn’t laugh; he just looked a bit harder at me as if trying to see if I was telling the truth. “I don’t belong here.”
“I say you do. I want you here, with me.”
“I am running from the literal devil Javier, there is no escaping if you help me.”
“How do you know, and why do you run instead of fight?”
“There is no winning against the man who controls me.”
“Minerva-“
“Javier, I am a demon. A real life, this girl was dead so I possessed her demon.” He didn’t believe, so I pulled away fully and sighed. I got dressed completely, a little sore in all my good places. As I finished I watched him get dressed and he seemed to wait on me.
“Show me then.” He encouraged, there was no playfulness like he was teasing, he wanted to see, like he did believe.
I took a breath before calling my scythes to my hands in a blink of an eye. I relaxed my hold on my demon look, and the girls skin turned purple, my eyes went black, and I could feel my teeth sharpen and I watched as he looked at me, it was shocking but he didn’t step back, scream or run. He just looked at me.
At least he knew my secrets now.
