"Bye Mamshie!"

I waved my hands to my friends as I walked inside the apartment building where I lived.

We went to a bar today dahil natanggap kami bilang resident doctor ng isa sa mga prestigious hospital ng Pilipinas. Who wouldn't celebrate that?

I hummed as I pressed the elevator button. I'm dizzy dahil na rin sa mga nainom naming apat, hinatid lang ako nila Theo dahil alam nila na hindi ako makakauwi kapag di nila ako hinatid.

I waited for the lift to reach where am I right now and it took so long until a man stood by my side. I glanced at him, he is wearing a black v-neck shirt and pants that hugged his body. He looked at my side and shot up his brow, he looked familiar but I don't know where I had seen him.

"Hi" I giggled and wave my hand a bit to him. Masyado na akong lasing para tanggapin ng sistema ko ang paglalandi sa taong ito and besides baka hindi naman siya nakatira dito. "...I'm Lia. And you are?" I offered my hand to him, he looked at it. It's my turn to shot up my brow. Mukha ba akong nakakadiri?

The man pursed his lips and was about to reach my hand when I put it down. "Sungit" bulong ko pero I know na he heard it.

The lift came and we both entered it. I pressed the 10th floor. Hindi siya pumindot ng button kaya lumingon ako sa kanya "Same floor?" I asked. He nodded his head at hindi na ako pinansin. 

"Same floor tayo but I haven't seen you. Bago ka lang ba? " lumingon ako sa kanya pero naaalala ko na wala nga palang bagong tenant sa floor namin dahil lahat yun ay occupied. Hindi siya sumagot sa tanong ko "Relative?" hindi rin siya sumagot sa tanong ko ulit. I hissed "Gwapo ka sana kaya lang masungit ka" humarap ako sa kanya. I smiled and touch his arm "Alam mo masyadong malamig ngayon kasi umuulan" I laughed tsaka ko pinaglandas ang daliri ko mula sa braso niya papunta sa dibdib niya, I looked at him with my sleepy eyes dahil na rin sa kalasingan. "Kamukha mo yung ex ko...kaso matagal na kaming wala nun eh. 2 years? Hik!" I hiccuped tsaka ko siya tinitigan maigi ulit. The man clenched his jaw as he matched my stare even the eyeglasses that covers his almond-shaped eye couldn't hide his bloodshot stare at me.

"Ah! I'm so drunk! I can't even! " muntikan na akong mapasadlak sa elevator kung hindi lang niya ako hinawakan sa bewang at hinila palapit sa kanya. Tumama ang mukha ko sa malapad niyang dibdib, I heard him curse under his breath habang tipong nakayakap na siya sa akin. His masculine scent cover my nose. A scent that's too familiar.

The lift reached 10th floor. I smiled nang nakarating iyon sa floor ko, bumitaw ako sa lalaki habang pagewang-gewang na lumakad sa hallway. Halos matapilok ako dahil sa high heels na suot ko. Tumigil ako saglit para tanggalin iyon pero dumudulas ang mga kamay ko sa pag-abot ng strap nito. Damn the liquior and damn those friend that I have! I feel dizzy again kung hindi ko lang naramdaman ang kamay sa bewang ko ay tutumba na talaga ako. Lumingon ako sa kanan ko and I saw the man again standing beside me!

"H...i! " I giggled again tsaka ako kumapit sa braso niya. I pointed out my unit which is at the end of the hallway "Pakihatid ako"

The man didn't speak. Instead he scooped me on his arms, I was about to speak another word when I realize that I really couldn't walk anymore para umangal pa sa kanya! Nangunyapit ako sa kanya at hinayaan siya na dalhin ako sa unit ko. When we reached the door of my unit he put me down and looked at him.

'Thank... you! " I fidgetted the key inside my bag pero hindi ko kaagad makita "Oh? Nasaan na?" I hiccuped again and this time muntik na naman akong matumba kung hindi ako hinawakan kaagad ng lalaki sa tabi ko. His deep sighed and hard curse made me smile, I can remember my ex to this man.

The man beside me grab my bag and looked at the key. When he found it he immediately inserted it at the key hole. Bumukas ang pintuan ko, binuksan niya ang ilaw sa gilid at nagliwanag ang buong unit. Humarap ako sa kanya at hinawakan siya sa braso ulit.

"Thank you" I smiled sweetly. We both looked at each other pero masyado nang blurry ang vision ko para pagmasdan pa siya, nag-amba akong papasok sa loob ng binuhat niya ulit ako.

"Oy!" saway ko sa kanya pero parang wala siyang naririnig. Dapat kabahan ako pero hindi ako kinakabahan. Epekto ba ito ng alak? I hiccuped again when we reached my sofa, he put me down there. Oblivious to the things around me. Naramdaman ko ang kamay niya na dahan-dahan tinatanggal ang strap ng sapatos ko.
