Mistakenly 03 - Reborn

Outside the cabin was Liliech rubbing his soft cheeks, pinching and pulling it as if she’s afraid that it might be some kind of a mask that made her look like this. She was sitting at the edge of the puddle with her knees raised, her head hanged low between it as she sighed in frustration. Even though she’s a witch and have read all the spell books that this world has, she never knew this kind of spell that can make a person’s soul transfer to other moreover, even though she’s a witch, she didn’t recognize any kind of spell that was made by someone when she and that white wolf fell on the f*******n cliff. There was no one around when that wolf dragged her on that dreadful place. Even if someone had a deep grudge against her, how did they even do that? Liliech didn’t allow any species to take a single strand of her hair or even a drop of blood. They couldn’t curse or cast a spell on a person without these factors, but she had long cut ties with the stream of people. Who did she even offend? And if this spell had existed, the higher witches would kill her if they knew that this since this kind of strange magic was beyond their power, it’s about a soul transferred to another living after all. And it has always been the number one law in the realm not to alter any changes on the natural law that includes a living species or else they’ll be executed in means beyond imaginable. Liliech bit her thumb but frowned not tasting the same bitter and sweet thumb she usually tasted on her previous body. She cursed as the strands of her hair fell on his face due to the breeze. She lifted her hand on the water and wanted to create a ripple or a wave on the upper surface of the puddle but the sensation she usually felt when exercising a spell was no longer there. As she thought. This is quite problematic. She bit her thumb harder and tried to manipulate the wind but there were no changes, then to the grass…she cursed again. She never had experienced this kind of phenomenon. She was born to be a witch and her powers depend on these elemental forces but now that she couldn’t control any of them, she felt depressed for the first time as she was in a daze, staring at the distant shadows of the Northern Mountains. But her mind was suddenly pulled in thought, she can’t perform any spells because she’s in a different body? She stared at her hand, her long nails and slender hand were completely different from her own body and the fact that this was a body of a werewolf made her shudder in disgust, who would even dare to switch his soul into the body of this weakling? But her eyes widened when she faintly remembered that when she was chasing the scent of the human, someone bumped into her before she was even caught by that stupid wolf. A lead suspect, she thought. But she can’t help but scratch her head in frustration, she should have turned back and given that person a taste so that she would have at least seen that person’s face. She was wracking her brain from thinking when someone called behind her, “Lilia.” “Huh?” Liliech turned, her expression wasn’t still fixed even her face was almost covered by strands of her golden hair. Lerio took a step forward, “Are you okay-“ he was about to reach his hand to fix her messy hair but Liliech was wary with people and immediately leaned away. “The hell man,” she muttered in surprise since she hadn’t interacted with people for a while and that made Lerio stop on his track and frown. “Lilia.” he called again, “Are you still not feeling well?” his face was stiff and cold but there was a hint of worry in his voice. But Liliech had long been isolated from people and no longer read this kind of vibe so she tried to fix her mood and answered, “Yeah, a bit.” She couldn’t bear to reveal herself yet since she had a lot of enemies and this body seemed to be a luna so any strange behavior coming from her would immediately be noticed. She cursed on her mind again. Lerio seemed to be relieved hearing her speak normally, “It’s been a week since that incident happened, the pack is waiting for you.” he said plainly. Liliech scratched his ears, inserting her pinky finger on the hole as she asked, “Why?” her tone was casual as if she needed to ask to avoid suspicion. Lerio’s expression seemed to have gotten more serious, “After that incident, the pack was furious and demands your explanation.” “What explanation?” she asked. She’s impressed how this werewolf didn’t have any earwax. Lerio’s expression was in between serious and confused, “Don’t you remember?” he eyes her suspiciously and that made the witch snap from her reasoning. “Oh, I forgot to say. I kind of hit my head on a stone and you know, my brain sunk in water. I’m afraid I lost some of my memories due to that incident.” she lied but Lerio’s handsome face became more serious. His dark and straight brows squinted, “You lost your memory?” he asked Liliech nodded vigorously, “A bit but don’t worry, I’m fine and healthy. My brain was a bit on loose after I woke up but I’m good.” she replied in her casual lies. Lerio seemed to have not settled on her explanation and took her wrist, “Liliech, don’t play around.” He eyed her carefully as if the worry in his eyes had finally shown through his action, “You don’t have to pretend that you’re okay, just tell me if you don’t want to go back. We can run together.” Liliech eyes snapped open hearing it, she returned the stare and scanned the man in front of her. He was far from being an alpha, Liliech had fought a few alphas before and their countenance would immediately show their strength. They were more dominating and fierce. Her eyes narrowed, this man…he has an affair with this Luna? How about the alpha of this Luna? Doesn’t he care? Then in that thought, a strike of pain occurred inside her head that made him take a step back as he held her head. “Lilia!” Lerio was alarmed and immediately went to her, “Are you hurt?” But Liliech couldn’t hear him. A violent wave of images flashed on her mind as if a film showing her the memories of this body. She grunted in pain as it load her mind, embedding itself in her head. Then she heard a faint voice echoing amidst the pain inside her head, ‘I regret it… I regret everything…Help me…’
