Seeing their retreating backs, Liliech frowned. She could faintly smell a familiar scent, sweet and good but she snapped back when Lerio stood in front of her as if he was positioned to shield her from anything outside. “Just don’t make anything unnecessary remarks.” Lerio said without looking back at her. Liliech was still in the process of understanding the fact that this body she got in wasn’t just only a Luna but a spoiled and irrelevant specie, the fact that she left her former to pack just to mate with this alpha, she was even defeated by her own emotion in the end, a terrible loser. But all of a sudden, a thought came to her. If the accident happened two weeks ago then it’s almost the same time where she tracked the scent of the human she caught! She asked eagerly, “Hey, did you find any bodies…or corpse along with this body of mine?” Lerio thought her language was weird but answered, “None. Did you remember anything?” “No, I was just curious.” They said that this Luna disappeared in the West Woods and found her in the west shore then the timing is almost perfect since they were both sucked in the mysterious cliff where the violent and uncontrolled energy was tremendous. Being sucked in that spot could only lead anyone to land on the West shore, if they somewhat survived... She cupped her body all over as she realizes that she might have swapped in the body of that white great wolf. That uncontrolled wolf! Such a good way to ruin someone’s life. But it also came to Liliech that if she has no enemy that would dare to do this ridiculous spell, then it must be someone that this spoiled Luna knew. Of all reasons! She felt depressed. It can be anyone but why did it have to be her that night? But again, as she connect the dots she remembered something. She raised his head to ask, “You said that after I found about that…my alpha’s affair. I chased his mistress?” Upon hearing it, Lerio stiffened as if it was something best forgotten but believing that Lilia had lost her memories, he could only sigh as he hid some facts, “Yes, you chased her.” But contrary to it, Liliech expression brightened and asked again, “To where?” Lerio couldn’t help but to turn back to her, seeing her up close made him realize that Lilia’s longing and miserable expression that she had been wearing since she met that alpha had completely disappeared and changed into something inquiring and active. Lerio sighed again, this must be her turning point in life, “To the west woods.” he answered directly. Liliech finally curved a smile as she remembered that before this stupid wolf attacked her, she bumped into someone, and it was actually not just a mere accident. “Was I really hated?” she then asked and that made Lerio stare at her for a short moment then turned away. “If you really can’t remember anything, it can be a good thing and a bad thing. Just remember that not everyone can be understanding especially our current pack. You are already wanted for hurting the alpha’s lover.” Lerio said calmly. “Now that doesn’t seem fair.” Liliech remarked as she plumped on the bed. Lerio can now fully confirm that Lilia had already lost her memories. Lilia could never be calm when it’s the alpha they’re talking about and seeing her ignorant to things that she should know proves that her position will in a dangerous state. Lerio was certain that they will point this out as another evidence that Lilia could no longer execute her duties as the Luna and replace that woman as the new Luna. Then they turned their heads ahead when they heard steps coming towards the room. “How dare you barge in the place of the elders!? Stop this instance!” it was Lady Beth’s voice who seemed to have fallen behind the wild steps ahead of her. And in a quick moment, the door was forced open by a dozen of werewolves. “Where is that witch!” one of the man leading the group demanded. Liliech almost choked by his word that she took a sneak behind Lerio who was shielding her. But seeing her familiar face, all of them gritted their teeth as if they just saw the same parasite that they couldn’t caught. The man infront spoke, “Luna Lilia, you are subjected to attempted murder. The alpha and the council is waiting for you in the camp.” But Lerio answered, “You wrench. This is the Luna, how bold of you to say such accusations!” But the man responded, “The evidence is plenty, almost everyone witnessed that night when she attacked the quarter of the alpha and almost killed the pack’s healer.” Liliech saw Lerio clenched his fist, “Solely because your stupid alpha is having an affair behind his own mate.” “WHAT DID YOU SAY?!” all of the men at the door crouched as they snarled their fangs against Lerio who also made a protective stance to protect Lilia. Liliech was amused. It has been a while since she had seen any wolf riot. But Lady Beth interjected between them, “Gentlemen please! Do not create such disturbance on the elder’s cabin!” she said. But the pack of werewolves who came stood again, glaring at Lerio as the same man said, “The investigation will start and Luna Lilia is subjected to appear in the camp or else, she’ll be condemned to attempted murder.” “Then tell the alpha that the Luna had lost her memories. She couldn’t recognize anyone or anything that happened. Tell him to grant us time.” The male werewolves frowned and all of their eyes turned to the figure who was on the bed, “Impossible.” Lerio didn’t want to waste any more words and said, “We would not force you to believe it but the alpha must adhere to our request or else, we would also make an appeal to the council about your betrayal on the Willow Moon Pack.” They immediately got a violent reaction hearing those words and refuted, “Lerio, we didn’t think you are this cheap. The case of Willow Moon Pack being wiped off by the Vampires from the Central Plain has nothing to do with the allied packs,” the man said, “Saving that pack wasn’t our responsibility.” He said saying what Lerio intended to say. Lerio clenched his fist harder, “Then do you admit that you took pleasure from it?” The man named Uril who was leading the group answered, “That matter had long been in the past, there’s no need to relate it on the present predicament.” Lerio then answered, “We wouldn’t dare to ran away from the investigation but this appeal must be fulfilled because the fact that Luna Lilia got herself severely injured from that night clearly implies that she was the victim since Lady Carol came back safe and sound, right?” Uril squinted his brows and that made Lerio’s mood darkened, they didn’t even try to check her condition and knew the facts before saying such impulsive demands. “Luna Lilia was unconscious for two weeks without any sign of waking up and it was just yesterday that she woke up in full gears but her mind couldn’t remember any past history.” Lerio continued, “Thus, she wouldn’t able to make her own stance in front of the council with this condition.”
