Listening to the constant ringing felt like torture but knowing that it could be an important call was even more so. This time Kira didn’t hesitate as much and answered the call. Picking up his phone he held it next to his ear.“Hello?” He said, then waited for a few seconds in complete silence. Those few seconds in themselves felt like an eternity. Right before Kira was considering just ending the clal he heard a voice on the other end of the line.
“Is this Kira Samokov by any chance?” That single line felt comforting to Kira’s ears for some reason. It didn’t feel like it was anyone from the bank nor any of his friends asking for their money back. It felt… it felt pleasant, his voice felt almost enticing as Kira listened to him.
