Chapter 11: Case #2 Beast’s Den (1)

That same shadowy figure jumps at Weiss then passed right through him and goes to the living room where the two men were... as if it knew exactly what it was doing.
“Wait!” Weiss called out to the figure, trying to stop it but it didn’t listen to him. “s**t! Ezikiel watch out!” He tried to call out to the man in the other room, but by the time he was around the corner it was too late...
In the living room where Aster and Ezikiel sat, the beast approached them, pouncing towards them with a threatening roar, then he was stopped... Ezikiel had grabbed the beast’s mouth with a single hand and held it shut. Then with a no less threatening glare he uttered: “Quiet...”
To the beast’s complete bafflement and Weiss who was no less surprised by the mere human’s sheer strength and fearlessness, both their eyes laid onto the man who was sleeping soundly within Ezikiel’s embrace.
The beast struggled and growled as he tried to release himself but Ezikiel only tightened his grip on the large beast’s mouth and repeated himself. “Quiet. You’re going to wake him up.” He said while glancing back at Aster making sure the man wasn’t already awake. “I’m not planning on losing my job over you, so shut it.”
‘JUST HOW CAPATILISTIC OF A MINDSET DO YOU HAVE TO HAVE TO BE READY TO FIGHT A CREATURE TWICE YOUR SIZE INSTEAD OF WAKING UP YOUR BOSS?!’ Weiss felt like his mind was short circuiting just by looking at this bizarre scene unfolding in front of him. “You’re not human, there’s no way you are...” Weiss muttered under his breath as he watched in complete shock as Ezikiel casually moved his boss aside and then stood up while still holding the beast’s mouth, unshaken.
“I’m all flesh and blood, Weiss... you can check.” Ezikiel remarked to his ghostly friend’s habit. “So, who’s this shitty friend of yours?” He asked while walking towards the other room, simultaneously pushing the large beast with him.
“That... looks like a werewolf and I don’t know him.” Weiss said while shrugging his shoulders and circling around the creature to stand behind Ezikiel.
“You sure?” Ezikiel asked as he glanced behind him and finally let go of the wolf’s mouth, allowing it to speak.
“Weiss! How could you say you don’t know me?! You don’t remember me at all?” The wolf-like creature asked as he slowly changed his form to become more human.
“I don’t, now who the f**k are you...?” Weiss asked once more, unbothered.
“It’s me! Come on air for brains you have to remember!” The wolf asked as he moved closer to the ghost as if trying to hug him, he rushed in and fell right through Weiss’s transparent body, hitting his head on the wooden ground beneath him. “Ouch... my name is Caleb? Do you remember now?” He asked with a pair of hopeful eyes as he waged his tail that although he was in human form hadn’t disappeared yet, and his ears too still resembled that of a wolf although now he looked as if he was reduced to nothing but a harmless dog.
“Caleb? No, still doesn’t ring a bell, honestly I don’t know how you know me but I don’t really care.” Weiss said while shrugging his shoulders once more and backing away from the person on the ground.
“You really don’t know...” Caleb seemed very disappointed as his ears flopped downwards. “Although we spend so much time together when you possessed my body... you can’t be bothered to recall that time, can you?” He asked, his heart looked as if it was breaking and his quivering voice made it seem like he was about to burst into tears.
“........?” Ezikiel wordlessly turned to the ghost with a questioning glance as if asking him for an explanation.
“I can’t remember every single guy who’s body I’ve possessed...” Weiss sighed heavily as he moved closer to the creature as if to observe him. “No, I don’t know you.” He concluded once more, then casually turned back around and blocked his ears as if he was expecting the other to have a tantrum.
“Did that night mean nothing to you!?” Caleb stood up from the ground and growled in an unpleasant manner, the house’s cheap foundation seemed to shake because of it.
“What in the world... is possessing someone's body your way of saving intercourse or something?” Ezikiel asked with a rather indifferent looking face, the one he usually had only this time he had the tiniest bit of surprise covering it as well. “He’s acting like an abandoned lover...” He remarked in a low tone of voice.
“To answer your question... not really?” Weiss said as he used his ghostly prowess to create the same blackboard he made before. “The thing is... when possessing a body there are a few ways it could end for the host... One of which would be vomiting as Aster, and another...” He paused for a bit then pointed to the creature that could change forms. “It could also feel good... Honestly it depends on the person but I have heard many people say it’s a very erotic experience. Like that horny dog over there...” Weiss remarked as he made the blackboard disappear.
“Do you always need to present things like that?” Ezikiel questioned but was ignored.
“I'm not a dog! A wolf!” Caleb insisted as he stood up, he looked even less threatening than before with his ears slumped. He almost seemed hurt by the other’s words.
“Same thing, go bark at a tree or something...” Weiss gestured to the outside.
“But... I’m here to get rid of the owner of the house for you!” Caleb said while moving towards Weiss once more with a pair of pleading eyes as if he was begging not to be thrown away. “Didn’t you say you had trouble with him because he didn’t want to leave the house like the rest did?” He asked.
Ezikiel instantly turned to Weiss with a threatening glare. Although he didn’t say anything he looked as if he was asking: ‘So it’s your fault he’s here?’
“When... when did I say that?!” Weiss instantly turned to Caleb as if trying to hide from Ezikiel’s piercing eyes. ‘It’s actually true I went to a pub once and complained... then yet it’s not like I told this warewolf to come here specifically and deal with this! Why am I being blamed for everything?!’ He wondered to himself as he tried to do damage control to the extent he could.
“You did say it though! And you even possessed my body for the sake of escaping that PI that had came looking for you!” Caleb insisted as he approached the ghost more and more but his attempts to touch him failed each time. His hand passing through the other effortlessly.
“PI?” Ezikiel asked while glancing at Weiss in a confused manner.
“Paranormal Investigator... the city had a few of them... and he wasn’t searching for me in particular just some ghost, I doubt he cared who it was really...” Weiss explained as he sighed heavily. ‘Who would have thought it would end up like this... I only possessed this wolf here cause I wanted to drink... but now he’s here causing trouble for me... shit...’ He considered what to do when his thoughts were interrupted once more...
“I’m here to help you and you’re doing nothing but knocking me down!” Caleb complained as he tried to grab Weiss once more but ended up falling to the ground once more.
“I’m not doing anything! Isn’t it common knowledge you can’t touch ghosts?” Weiss asked as he sighed once more. ‘Why do I have to deal with this? And Ezikiel looks angry... what a pain...’ He thought to himself.
“I’ll get rid of this human and you can poses me again, alright? I’ll do good! I’ll do good!” Caleb spoke with the overexcitement of a golden retriever going on a walk...
