Rory's POV My wolf licked her snout, savoring the remaining taste of the buck we had hunted. Shawns wolf was strong. He was as graceful as he was powerful. He was lounging on the edge of a cliff overlooking the valley where the pack house stood. Several wolves ran and played while there were other pack members lounging around the still blazing campfire. Children played and chased some of the wolves, while others gazed at the stars. The sky was still clear and bright. There were flickers of light shining from the stars and the moon and if I squinted hard enough, I could see a few streaks in the sky from shooting stars. I made my way over to Shawn and laid down next to him, curling my tail around me. Those bright eyes landed on me and seemed to peer into my soul. “Thank you,” I whispered
