James spent a week chatting with a particular guy he met on the dating site. He lived in San Francisco, fifty miles north of San Jose, further than he’d normally drive, but the man seemed special. James was always suspicious and refused to give his personal email out so soon, instead communicating via the dating site.
They seemed to have a lot in common. The man was handsome, about James’ age. James asked multiple times if his pictures were current. He was assured they were. James was about to suggest they meet because they shared person history and stories, but then the guy asked James to send him five hundred dollars to help him get into a new apartment.
