Poyddington’s Table was located at Poyddington Ranch on the Poyddington River. Franklin W. Poyddington IV had started his catering business specializing in barbecue brisket in 1992, and he was well known throughout the tri-state region. Two huge barns loomed in the distance: the glory of Table. Beyond the barns were a koi pond, three vegetable gardens, and a sky-reaching ranch house where Franklin lived.
I was right on time for my appointment at noon with Franklin, who was the spitting image of Bill Clinton.
