“I could never hate you”
I mumbled quickly before kissing her again forgetting we were in the middle of a war. “I missed you so much” I sighed staring at her face memorizing it. “You look-” I started getting cut off. “Deathly ill” she laughed, making me smile hearing it again. “Beautiful” I disagreed, running my thumb down her cheek.
“Are you two gonna stand here and gaze into each other's eyes or are you gonna help?” Damien asked as he ran past us breaking our stares. “Missed you too” Audrey laughed trying to pull away from me, my arms tightening instinctively. “I’m just going to fight, I'll be here afterward,” she smiled at me, pulling away slowly. I watched her back away, her eyes never leaving mine.
