“Where are you taking him?” Jesse tried scrambling to her feet but was held securely by Beta Bashop.
“We have a cell that he gets locked in every time he…changes…” Alpha Fenrir said carefully. “He’s not a normal werewolf…do you know what he is?” He grabbed her chin and stared down into her eyes.
Jesse baulked at the loaded question and shook her head. “No…sir…”
He huffed and let her go. Phelps gave her a side glance but said nothing of the fact that Adler had clearly changed into the Lycan directly in front of her.
“I will keep him in that cell for the next few days while he recuperates then he will be returned home to pack territory…I suggest you take the money that was offered you and leave town. Permanently.”
Jesse gulped. “I was…I was already planning to before…”
