As the door opened Jesse slipped inside and firmly closed the door, shushing Todd as he looked at her startled. She went to the front room and looked out between the closed drapes at the black car still parked out there.
“Jesse, what’s going on?” Todd asked a little huffy at being woken up so early.
She held a hand up to him to wait as she watched the car finally leave.
Her shoulders fell forward in relief as she let out a huge cleansing breath. She turned to face Todd who was standing in his living room with his arms folded and a grumpy look upon his face, when he saw how pale she looked he hesitated, dropping his arms and a worried expression took over his face.
