“Adler…you’re hurting me…” Jesse whimpered as he dragged her up the stairs and into her lounge room. He pulled her to the couch and let her go, pointing down at it.
“Sit!” He growled in Alpha, emitting his aura.
Jesse fell back onto the couch stunned, flinching slightly as she downcast her eyes and bit her lip.
Adler’s wolf danced in his head, making it swoon, in elation and he felt like his Lycan was completely with him. He dropped his aura and looked around the small open plan room. He was surprised she lived so poorly, it wasn’t dirty or showed poverty, but he had thought she would have been richer than she clearly was. It maddened him that she had been living a mediocre life when all this time she could have been living in luxury with him if only things had gone right for them.
