The loud hush of the sea breeze lingered close on their ears as they walk down the white sand by the shore just beside the ocean. After that commotion in that strange cafe, Shawn lead Fendice to this place, the small guy was rumbling in complaints silently but he couldn't do much since he cannot walk out this place without Shawn and his car.
They walked on the dry part of the sand, the daylight isn't aggressive and the waves splashing by the edges was soothing the vibes of the summer heat, just enough mood for a leisure stroll. Shawn was taking the moment to stare at the vast bluish ocean, smiling contently as he comfortably placed his hands behind him as he walk every steps.
Behind him was Fendice who slightly enjoyed the moment adding the fact that the horny monster is meters away from him. Fendice maybe an adult in looks but his mind was that simple like of a child, he mindlessly traced the steps of Shawn in the sand, head tilting every time he realizes that the man ahead had big feet like that of a giant.
"Fendice."
He lifted his head up just to see Shawn who turned his head towards him, calling him in an unusual genuine smile, his black hair flickering in the wind as his well tone skin complement the warm vibrance.
When he saw Fendice looking at him, Shawn then pointed at the small abandoned cottage ahead of them.
He called again, "Let's rest for a bit."
Fendice raised his brows seeing him that way, he's like a male lead in a manga but sadly for genres like cheating or for psychological ones since he's not normal.
Fendice took the invitation and took his steps forward. Reaching the cottage where old bamboo beams was almost covered in green by molds at the bottom, wood planks that serves as seats was graying in color but the shingle roof above it can likely still withstand heat and light rain.
Fendice immediately sat at the provided seats made by aged wood planks, it was long both edges ended in adjacent beams, seemingly made for group of people to sit and chit-chat. It can still carry about 3-5 people.
He was in thought to feel the relaxation from the tranquil environment when he saw Shawn leaning to sit beside him. He immediately blurted, "What are you doing?" frowning
Shawn straightened up from his ridiculous question he asked back, "About to sit?"
Fendice's lips twitched and waved his hand, "There, there's a lot of space, sit there and don't get near me." he was gesturing towards the other end of the long seat.
Shawn made an expression but Fendice wasn't looking at him and he didn't saw it he just then felt that the man didn't said a word and sat meter away from him.
That's definitely weird.
But he didn't bothered to take a glance at him and just stared at the line between the ocean and the sky. Seeing the horizon felt good adding up the motion of the soft waves and it's sound, a bit therapeutic for people who was too lazy to appreciate things.
His eyes wandered on the scenery his eyes can scope to see then in a corner, a mile away from them. There's a huge rock formation which can be climbed up to have a better view on the ocean. Waves were violently splashing on the bottom part but Fendice's eyes narrowed not just because of it.
At the top of that rock formation, there seemingly a figure standing. He can't see clearly but sure enough, the figure was steady and a bit darkened amidst the broad daylight.
Fendice's eyes narrowed more to see it clearly but as he try to, his head started aching.
"Are you okay?" a voice rung beside him.
He turned to see Shawn who had moved an inch closer, his expression inquiring seeing Fendice a bit distracted.
"Don't, move another inch." he warned, he placed his hand on his head, trying to ease the weight of the mysterious headache.
As Shino warned, Shawn sat there frozen but he still asked, "Are you okay?" he asked again
Fendice closed his eyes but managed a small nod, "A recurring migraine." he said
Shawn twitched hearing it, "When did it start?"
"The moment I met you." he said coldly and bluffing.
Fendice shut his eyes close more harder as another wave of pain went inside his head. He tried to calm it down as usual and turned to look at the direction of the rock formation once again but the figure he saw disappeared.
His brows raised upward, there's no trace of that figure anymore. He took his sight in just a second but he wouldn't get down easily like that from the top right?
"Hey, hey, did you see it?" his palm flapped to take Shawn's attention, "...did you see?"
He said in a fast manner as if excitement conquered him still looking at that direction.
Shawn turned to look but frowned, "What should I suppose to see?"
Fendice finally turned to him, face smiling as if he discovered something comparable to a newly discovered trench. "I saw a figure earlier there! Then it disappeared... Is it a ghost?" his eyes glimmered in thrill
"Or an ocean creature?" he asked again, completely ignored the throbbing pain and Shawn's stunned expression which was about to laugh in a minute.
But he concealed it close because he has still matter to seriously talk with Fendice.
"Fendice." he called in a serious tone.
Indulged with the newly acquired mysterious experience that he will definitely tell to Mierin, he turned to Shawn in a smiling expression, "Mm?"
Seeing him like this, Shawn can't help but to be stunned but his expression was strangely fixed to be stiff. His eyelashes drooped down as he thought of something.
A bit nervous but still full of pride, he sighed concealing it all. He reached for Fendice's hand which made the other snap from his imagination.
"What---"
"I believe I have made my intention clear." Shawn stared at his eyes
Fendice tried to take his hand away but as expected, it was a lame effort. His lips went thinner as another wave of pain came surging.
He uttered, "Stop joking around."
But Shawn gently moved closer, his eagerness shown.
Holding his hand, he said, "Fendice..." he started rubbing his thumb on his hand which made Fendice shiver.
"Stop it." he barely made a word coping on the usual pain frying his head in minimum level.
Shawn's expression didn't changed as he continued, "I don't want to surprise you in an ugly way when the right time comes..."
Shawn was speaking, his eyes gazing at Fendice's hand without looking at him but Fendice couldn't comprehend what he was trying to say, his words were too formal and figurative plus the fact that the sudden headache was killing him slowly.
"...you have no choice." It was the last words he heard from Shawn before he realizes that his eyes slowly drooped down, feeling dizzy and his vision became a bit blurry.
In that last moment, he saw something, someone. Just behind Shawn, he didn't saw it clearly but he felt like it someone he knew but before he can even think, he fell unconscious.
"...run, run!"
The call was piercing his mind like knife, as if it's someone close, Fendice turned right and left then finally snapped his eyes open.
He's panting heavily but exhaled in relief seeing the familiar ceiling above.
He's in his room.
His eyes traveled around for confirmation. His walls full posters, his shelves full of comics and mangas and another shelf for his CD games, it was really his room.
He placed his hand on his sweaty head, his migraine is getting harder and harder to handle.
He sat up and lazily walked out of his room with his loose sleeves and pajamas on. He rubbed his tummy as he walked straight towards the kitchen.
"Father, you should think twice."
He was about to enter the kitchen when he heard the familiar voice of his brother spoke just by the living area a little far from him.
"Dear..." a soft but has the tone full of doubts was heard. It was his mother.
Mr. Reel was sitting on the royal single sofa chair, massaging his forehead as the problem he feared of finally rose.
"Father, Fendice isn't someone capable of that. I believe we should cancel this as soon as possible." it was his brother, Ferrel, who spoke again, a bit worried and determined according to the way he spoke.
Another voice sounded, "Father, I agree. This won't fruit into something good, as you can see, Fendice that brat is still a child." along with that voice is a mumble of a baby infant he's holding.
It was Jules, his brother's spouse. A Zeta like Fendice but after being marked by his brother whose an alpha, he became an official omega under him.
Mr. Reel sighed in loud distress.
"Do you think I would agree like that easily? If it was easy for me then I shouldn't have stood against Liu for years!" he finally exclaimed
He continued in a defeated voice, "I tried to change his mind, to avert his attention to anyone passable on his own standard but that man was too stubborn." he 'tsked' on the last word.
"But dear...Fendice, our Fendice. He's too young." his mother spoke
"I know, I know..." Mr. Reel massaged the bridge of his nose, "...But we need the Liu's partnership for the company."
Silence occupied the room as the main purpose was spoken out loud which they knew already.
"For that and he asked this ridiculous request? He must be nuts." Ferrel remarked
"Totally." his spouse agreed
"Either way, I know this won't last long. I'll just have to instruct Fendice of what he should do and shouldn't." Mr. Reel's tone changed, he spoke in determined matter as if he finally made his decision.
"He just need to endure."
Ferrel and his mother had worst reaction as if they couldn't believe of what they just heard.
"You mean..." his mother trembled.
"So... Fendice gonna get married? For real?" it was Jules, his brother's spouse. Pampering their chubby baby on his arms who just woke up.
"Dear, this is so sudden... You should have, told us earlier. Our opinion may not worth a value here but for Fendice? I bet he'll do some rampaging again." his mother sighed
But Mr. Reel snapped from her statement, "And so? That child has been too spoiled! He should feel the real hardship from now on."
Ferrel turned to sigh as he take their baby from Jules. Unlike Fendice, Ferrel was more gentler and patient, outside or inside aspect. He's way more handsome and friendly that made anyone who barely met him would adore him in instant.
"But this is way out of the line Dad, Fendice marrying Shawn Liu?" he felt wronged for his little brother.
But Fendice who was watching and listening just by the corner couldn't move an inch from what he just heard.
He was Frozen.
They just sold him off!
