" . . . And Allah is merciful and compassionate." I read the supplication and blew it on Khadijah. As I closed the small booklet, I smiled at her sleeping face. Thankfully, all of the swelling and the bruises were gone from her face. It's been three months since she's been in a coma. The damage that the accident did to her body was mostly repair with multiple surgeries and organ transplants and with time her body healed, but it wasn't enough to wake her up. I carefully caressed her cheek and tried to smile but failed miserably. So far, I have been holding on and hoping and praying that she will wake up soon. And I know that inshaa Allah, Allah will help me. I still can't believe that it's been so long. I have survived through this hardship but this time I did it with patience and faith.
