Asher
I sat in my office with my parents, beta, gamma, delta, my siblings and a few warriors.
" What is going on?" My father, Damien demanded.
" We have heard that….. My brother Drake trailed off. No one has ever mentioned him in years after most of the people have given up the hope of capturing him. Even the council members didn't bother to find him after the rogue attack.
" He came back," I announced, sitting in my chair and gauging everyone's reactions.
" That bas**rd," my father said, cursing him. My mother gasped with her eyes wide. I knew she hadn't forgotten a thing.
" Where? Where is he now?" Drake asked.
" He is in his company. That is what this meeting is all about," I said.
" What do we do now?" One of my warriors, Liam said through clenched jaws.
" Nothing," I said and leaned back in my chair.
" What?" Everyone said in unison.
" Exactly. What you have heard, except," I said and waited for everyone to digest my words. I know exactly what I am doing. He knew what it would be like to show up and yet he did know every possibility. Since he had done that he must have found her. The one who can change everything.
An image of that girl from the street flashed in my head and goosebumps erupted on my skin, which I have never experienced.
" Honey, we can't just sit back and watch another innocent soul fade away from this World," my mother said, looking down at me with furrowed brows.
" If he has her then he has to bring her to the core of the forest to do the rituals. We won't sit back and watch another soul get the taste of someone else's fate," I said looking at my mother. She nodded at me while a small smile played on her lips. She knows I will not let that happen again.
" and for what we are going to do, I believe the red moon will appear in two days. I need every warrior on the border and inside of the forest. Spread my words, whoever is going into the forest must cover themselves and get camouflage in the forest so that he doesn't get a chance to see you or even know that you are there. If I know that he fled away from that forest after finding anyone keeping an eye on him…… I paused.
" I will personally kill him," I said, in a tone that I myself couldn't recognise. I don't want to miss him this time.
I looked at my warriors with eyes full of anger. I can sense their fear at my words but I saw the same anger in their eyes as mine. Good, I thought in my head.
I saw my mother smuggled into my father's embrace. She is afraid of what is coming. After all, we are going after a hybrid this time. Then I looked at my siblings Nora and Mathew, the look in their eyes told me everything about how they were waiting for my order to go into the forest. It is hard for me to let my little sister get into that mess but I knew better she would toss down the whole place if I didn't.
For a second, I thought about that girl he found she might have siblings and what it would be like to be taken away from them. I shudder with just a mere thought of it.
" We will set out tomorrow morning," I said.
" We?" Max asked.
" I am going with the warriors," I declared.
I looked at my parents who were having smiles on their faces. They looked at me with pride.
The door creaked open and Martha came in.
" Alpha," she said and bowed down.
" They will be Arriving tomorrow evening," she said.
Martha is a witch whom I plant in his office to look at everything that happens around her in human territory where he is likely to show up every now and then.
" His family has arrived and they are all prepared," she said.
Her eyes showed sadness mentioning that person.
" Is there anything else?" I asked.
" Do save her Alpha. She is a pure soul," she said with great sadness and I can see that Martha cares for her.
" No harm will come to her," I said. She didn't respond to me and only nodded her head.
" I have preparations to do," she said, as she turned around and opened the door before leaving us.
One by one they all left my office except Mathew. Who stood where he was standing earlier with a blank face looking behind me at the wall.
When everyone left he spoke still looking at the wall,
" Did he really show up?"
" If yes, don't let him escape this time," he said, and left my office without a glance at me. My heart clenched looking at him.
I sighed and slumped back in my chair. We have two long days coming.
I decided to get some rest before we head out to the forest. I stood up and went out of the office and towards my room.
I linked both a delta Erick and gamma Alex to handle the things while we are out.
I stripped out of my clothes and went to bed in my boxers. As soon as I shut my eyes the images of that girl from earlier invaded my mind.
Bella
All the way towards his house I kept looking out of the window in order to hide my tears from him.
I didn't know anything about him and here I'm married to him. A total stranger, the CEO, a billionaire and my boss. The feeling of what it would be like after this gives me chills. If anyone in the company knows that I married my boss they will think of me as a gold digger. I shook the negative thoughts out of my mind, when the car halted.
" We are here!" Adam announced softly.
In the dark I couldn't see what his house looked like but I could tell from its outline that stood in the dark that it looked like a manor.
I was looking at the manor when the door of the passenger side opened. I looked out and saw Adam was standing holding out his hand for me to take.
I looked at his hand before placing mine and all the worries from earlier vanished just like that. Although we are strangers, there is something about him that's pulling me to him.
" Come, they are all here," he said.
" Who?"
" My family, they all arrived to welcome the bride," he said, looking down at me. In the dark night, I looked up to see him smiling at me as the moon above was casting its shine on us.
" Umm, Adam?" I called his name.
" Yes, princess," he said.
" What if they don't like me? I mean we are kind of from different worlds and the difference we have between us is huge," I said.
As soon as the words left my mouth I felt him stiffened under my touch and an unknown emotion flashed in his eyes, before he masked it way too quickly.
" They will adore you. Trust me," he said, leading me towards the front door of the.
" They can't wait to meet you. They are waiting for you," he said, looking at the door. The smile had now vanished. And the way he said that made my blood run cold.
We walked to the front door of his manor hand in hand like a couple in love.
" Don't worry they loves you,* he said, I looked at him puzzled by the thought of how people can love someone without knowing the person. Before I could ask him anything the door creaked open.
An odd wind from the inside hit my face as soon as the door opened and I was greeted with a bunch of unknown faces.
" You must be Bella," am elderly woman said as she approached me and pulled me in a hug. I was taken aback with a sudden act but I hugged her back as I recovered from the shock.
" Mom!!" Adam whinnied.
" I told you before," he said.
" Can't help it, sorry," she said looking at her son mischievously and not sorry at all for her act. I was looking at both of them in amusement.
" Well done, son," a man said, looking at Adam in pride.
Adam nodded at him before fixing his gaze on me. My cheeks burned with a deep shade of red.
All the feeling and uneasiness I was feeling a few moments ago was all gone. Replaced with the feeling of being cherished. My eyes welled up at the thought that I am going to spend the rest of my life with these amazing people.
" Nice to meet you, bel," a manly voice said before I felt someone plant a soft kiss on my cheeks, which made my eyes wide.
" Kevin!!" Adam growled out at him. He shrugged and backed off.
" She is Adam's bride not yours, Kevin," the man from earlier said. I was trying hard to figure out the relations.
" You must be confused," his mother said.
" You probably know by now that I am his mother and this is Adam's father, Henry. Kevin Adam's brother, nia Adam's cousin sister and…. She trailed off looking at a man who was wearing a black suit whose eyes were boring into me.
" That is Adam's uncle," she said. I tried to give him a small smile.
" She is the one," he said, breaking his mourning.
Silent fell in the living room all of a sudden. I looked at his brother who was looking at me with an emotion that I don't know of.
" It is so nice to meet you Bella," his mother said, breaking the awkward silence.
" You must be tired. Adam, we will continue tomorrow morning but for now take your bride upstairs. She needs to rest," she said, rubbing my back lovingly.
" Thank you," I said.
" We are family."
Adam took my hand in his and started to lead me towards the stairs.
" I can't wait to see you in my room," he whispered in my ears, making my core tight.
Climbing the stairs I looked around to see the luxurious house he has. It is more like a palace than a house to me. Everything screamed money.
