When they got back to camp everyone was sitting by the fire. They were laughing and joking. Morgan and Nate came and sat with the group. “Where have you guys been?” Jonathon asked. “Down by the lake,” Nate answered. “Have a nice walk?” Steele asked. Nate nodded but looked questioningly at Morgan. “Yeah, the moon on the water is pretty spectacular,” Morgan said, not looking back at Nate. Tomorrow they would leave the camp for Rock Island Lodge. It seemed most of the group wanted to hang on to their last night here. But eventually people started drifting off to bed until just Steele, Nate, and Morgan remained by the fire. “Well, I guess I’ll turn in, too,” Steele said. “Morgan, you have first watch, right?” Morgan nodded. “I do.” He glanced at Nate, who was silently looking at him.
