Chapter 2Becky had been thrilled when I texted her early Saturday morning to get more info about the event next weekend. After spending another evening cuddled up with Greg, but still going to bed lonely and frustrated, I knew it was time to make a change. Take that first step, as they say. I set up my laptop at the kitchen table so I could check out the link she’d forwarded me about the event, then get some work done. Usually when I brought work home, I set up in the third bedroom we’d converted to an office/den/hobby room, but it was such a gorgeous day, I wanted to be near the floor-to-ceiling windows in the kitchen, where I could enjoy the sunshine.
