CHAPTER 4: NO TRUCEA DAY PASSED, AND ANOTHER, and then another, and the woman obviously wasn’t budging. He’d radioed in for further instructions, but every time it was the same: convince the woman to come back to her father. So, it was time to mentally regroup and figure out the next plan of action. Obviously, the plan to stand around waiting for the Admiral’s daughter to come back with him was an ineffective strategy. She seemed absolutely certain she was needed there—and she was probably right—and possessed no interest whatsoever in returning with him to see her father. He’d been under strict orders not to reveal the reason she was being summoned back to her father, but he was beginning to think it was the only shot he had of getting her on the helicopter without drugging her or dragging
